WE HAVE ADDED TWO MORE TUNA TRIPS TO THE SCHEDULE - THURS OCT 9 & TUES OCT 14 - BOTH TRIPS LEAVE AT 5:00PM AND ARE 24 HOURS LONG - WE STILL HAVE A FEW SPOTS OPEN ON THE OCT 19 TRIP.

Sept 29, 2014

Weekend Recap - Sorry I haven't posted an update but we had a little problem with the web site over the weekend. On Saturday & Sunday we had very good fishing for the BIG BLUES in the 8 to 18lb range. Both days started out with all jigs and the went to bait & jigs in the afternoon. So there are still plenty of BLUES to catch before the STRIPERS arrive so come on down and get in on some of this action.

Saturday night we banged away at the BIG BLUES all on bait.

Sept 23, 2014

Very Very Good fishing for the BIG BLUES today. The fish were in the 8 to 14lb range and you could catch all you wanted. It was more jigs than bait today but we did catch them both ways.

See you in the morning

Sept 22, 2014

Decent fishing for the BIG BLUES in the 8 to 12lb range today - it was a combination of jigs & bait.

Weather looks good for tomorrow - see you in the morning

Sept 21, 2014

Picked at the BIG BLUES again today - most of the action was on bait and the BIG BLUES were in the 8 to 12lb range.

See you in the morning

Sept 20, 2014

We picked away at the BIG BLUES in the 8 to 12lb range. Sometimes it was fast fishing and sometimes we had lulls - by the end of the day we had a decent catch of BIG BLUES. We caught the BLUES on jigs & bait.

Sept 19, 2014

It was a little "bumbie" out there today with a 20 to 25 knot northeast wind - we were able to pick at the fish on jigs & bait. A good portion of the day you could see the fish splashing and swimming around the boat. The range of size was a little wierd as we had fish from 4 lbs to 18lbs and not just one of each but many of each size.

We'll do it again tomorrow - see you in the morning.

Sept 18, 2014

Banged away at the BIG BLUES again today in the 8 to 12 lb range. Early action was on jigs and then it switched to bait.

See you in the morning

Sept 17, 2014

Good fishing for the BIG BLUES today. The BLUES ranged in size from 8 to 12 lbs and we caught them on Hammer jigs & bait.

Weather tomorrow looks good - see you then

Sept 15, 2014

The ocean was beautiful today and the fish followed suit. We banged away at the BIG BLUES in the 8 to 12lb range all day. Everything started out on jigs and then switched over to bait  as the fish started to eat the chum. We read fish all day and we could see the BIG BLUES swim through the chum slick, it looks like there are a lot of fish around and hopefully they stay around for a while.

The weather tomorrow looks good, so we will see you in the morning.

Sept 14, 2014

Let me recap the weekend:

  • - Friday night fishing for the BIG BLUES was good - all on bait
  • - Saturday the wind was blowing about 25 to 30 knots out of the northeast and the ocean got very very nasty - fishing was not good in those conditions and we were home early
  • - Saturday night was a "no go" due to the weather
  • - Today, Sunday we did pick some BIG BLUES on bait & jigs but just not enough of them
  • The weather is looking good for tomorrow and the next few days and I think that the fish will turn back on now that we seem to be in a more normal weather pattern

Sept 12, 2014

After a tough day on Thursday with a 25 knot southerly wind - the ocean was a much nicer place to be today. We picked at the BLUES today mostly in the 4 to 9lb range. We caught them on both Hammer jigs & bait with the Hammer jigs working better. Highhook at 10 BLUES.

See you in the morning.

Sept 10, 2014

The wind is starting to drop out and we will be sailing on THURSDAY.

Tuna update:

- 5 spots open on Sept 28

- 9 spots open on Oct 19

- Oct 5 SOLD OUT

Sept 8, 2014

We picked some BLUES today and a 15lb MAHI today before the wind blow so hard that it was very uncomfortable out there and we came home early.

Sept 7, 2014

Let's recap the weekend:

  • - on Friday nite we picked at the BIg Blues in the 10 to 15 lb range - all on bait
  • - on Saturday we had to change locations several times - in one area we had a couple of shots at the 3 to 5 lb fish all on jigs - and in another area we had fish all over the top and picked at the MONSTER BLUES in the 18 to 21 lb range - it was starting to look like last year with the monster BLUES
  • - Saturday nite the bluefishing was very slow in some miserable weather
  • - Today (Sunday) we picked away at the BLUES all on jigs - on some drifts the fishing was good and other drifts were slow - today's fish were in the 3 to 6 lb range - the MONSTER fish from yesterday did not make an apperance today.
  • See you in the morning

Sept 5, 2014

Picked away at the BIG BLUES today - I believe fishing would have been better but the conditions with everything going straight down without any current made it tough to get the lines away from the boat.  Once everyone started to learn how to flip their lines out we started to catch the BIG BLUES in the 10 to 15lb range. Most of the action was on bait today.

The weather looks good for tomorrow and we will be back at it. See you in the morning.

Sept 4, 2014

We picked at the BIG BLUES today. At times it seemed like the fishing was going to get very good then the fish would back off and then they would bite  again. The fish ranged in size from 10 to 15lbs and most of the fish were caught on bait.

See you in the morning

Sept 3, 2014

Very GOOD fishing for the BIG BLUES today. The BIG BLUES were in the 10 to 15lb range and most of the action was on bait - with the jigs coming alive later in the day.

Weather looks good for tomorrow - see you in the morning.

Sept 2, 2014

We only picked at the BIG BLUES today along with a few ALBIE's. We could see the BLUES swimming through the chum slick and we were reading them under the boat but we just picked at them.

The BIG BLUES ranged in size from 10 to 15 lbs and we caught them on mostly bait, some on jigs.

A schedule change note - we will be sailing on both FRIDAY & SATURDAY nights for BLUES departing at 7:30pm - we are also sailing everyday for BLUES at 7:30am

See you in the morning

Sept 1, 2014

Sorry I haven't posted a fishing report in a couple of days but it has been a very hectic weekend. The fishing for BIG BLUES was VERY GOOD today and Saturday and on Sunday it was just GOOD fishing. The BIG BLUES are still in the 10 to 15 lb range and its bait & jigs with the bait seeming to be the more productive.

The weather looks like it is going to good for the week and now is the time to come if you want to catch the BIG BLUES.

See you in the morning.

Aug 29, 2014

A GOOD day of fishing for the BIG BLUES in the 10 to 15lb range with some BONITA & ALBIE's mixed in. We caught the fish on bait & jigs with the bait working better today.

Tomorrow looks like a great day - we will see you then.

Don't forget we will be fishing for BLUES tomorrow nite.

Aug 28, 2014

We picked away at the BIG BLUES in a nasty ocean today and we also added a decent catch of ALBIE's. The BIG BLUES ranged in size from 10 to 15lbs and we caught them on jigs & bait with the bait seeming like it was working better. A few guys who were fishing hard for the ALBIE's boated up to a dozen each.

Tomorrow's weather looks a lot better than today's was so come down and get an early start to the holiday weekend.

See you in the morning.

Aug 27, 2014

Capt Jim had the boat out today and he had VERY GOOD fishing for the BIG BLUES in the 10 to 15lb range. There were many limit catches and the fish were biting on both jigs & bait. The hot jig was the Hammer jig with a red tail.

See you in the morning.

Aug 26, 2014

Aug 25, 2014

A good day of fishing for the BIG BLUES in the 10 to 15lb range. We caught them on jigs & bait but it seemed the bait was working better.

The weather looks great for the next several days so come on down and enjoy a beautiful day in the ocea catching some BIG BLUES.

See you in the morning.

Aug 24, 2014

It took us a while to get the fishing going which included a 20 mile to drive to a new area but once we got the BIG BLUES going it was very good fishing. More jigs than bait but we caught them both ways. The fish ranged in size from 8 to 15 lbs and we also caught a few 8 to 12 lb ALBIE's.

Hopefully these fish stay in this area for a while. We'll see tomorrow.

Aug 23, 2014

It was a little "bumpie" in the ocean today and it made for some tuff conditions to fish in. We read plenty of fish going under the boat but with the current into the wind and the conditions we only picked slowly at the fish. A couple of times we had spurts at them but we couldn't get them to bite like they should have.

We will be back at it again tomorrow - see you in the morning

Aug 22, 2014

A tough day with the BIG BLUES. We had some fish but overall it was slow. More bait then jigs and the fish we in the 12 to 16lb range.

We will try it again tomorrow - see you in the morning.

Aug 21, 2014

Picked at the BIG BLUES in the 12 to 15lb range again today. Mostly bait again today.

See you in the morning

Aug 20, 2014

Fishing for the BIG BLUES started out good this morning and as the day went on it started to slow down a bit but we still picked some. Mostly bait today with fish in the 12 to 18lb range.

The weather looks good for tomorrow - see you then

Aug 19, 2014

We picked at the BIG BLUES today in the 12 to 16lb range. Almost everything was on bait today. We read enough fish today that you would think it would be crazy fishing but the fish just didn't bite right.

We will be back at it tomorrow.

Aug 18, 2019

We caught some BIG BLUES on biat this morning but the conditions were horrible with the bait lines running right up the anchor line. Later in the day the BIG BLUES came up on top and the fish readings were fantastic but for all the fish we saw we still only able to jig a few each drift. The BIG BLUES were in the 12 to 18lb range.

Aug 17, 2014

Picked at the BIG BLUES today. More bait than jigs. The fishing was ok in the morning then it slowed down and later in the afternoon it started to pick back up again. The BLUES were in the 12 to 18lb range.

This afternoon's trip produced some keeper FLUKE to 6lbs along with plenty of shorts and a few SEA BASS.

Saturday night we had very good fishing for BIG BLUES all on bait.

See you in the morning.

Aug 16, 2014

Sorry folks I got tolate to post yesterday. Yesterday was a pick o the BIG BLUES in the 10 to 14 lb range. It was both jigs and bait and we added a MAHI and a few COD fish to the catch.

Today we caught some very BIG BLUES in the 12 to 18lb range all on jigs. We saw a lot of fish and read them very very good but they didn't bite like they should have - some of may have been because of the boat traffic.

We will be back at it again tomorrow. See you then.

Aug 14, 2014

We picked at the BIG BLUES today it seemed the fish would come in shots, where it was good fishing for a while then it would back off then it would be good fishing again. Thee BIG BLUES were in the 10 to 14lb range and it was more bait then jigs.

This afternoon's trip produced a decent catch of Keeper FLUKE to 6 lbs plus shorts and some SEA BASS.

The weather looks great for tomorrow. See you then

Afternoon trips having been producing good catches of FLUKE & SEA BASS and I expect that fishing to continue.

See you in the morning

Aug 11, 2014

MORE BIG BLUES plus a MAHI about 20lbs and a couple of Pollack between 20 & 30lbs. It was very good fishing today for the BIG BLUES in the 10 to 14lb range. We caught them on bait & jigs but the bait was working better.

On the afternoon trip yesterday Capt Jimmy had a very good catch of Keeper FLUKE to 5 lbs along with some keeper SEA BASS and some short FLUKE.

The weather looks good for the next several days so come on down and join us.

Aug. 4, 2014

The weather this past weekend contributed to poor fishing conditions and just ok fishing.

Yesterday the morning was slow but as the ocean clamed down the fishing started to improve.

By the time the afternoon trip  sailed yesterday the ocean was beautiful and we spent the afternoon catching Mackerel and Blues. It really turned into a perfect afternoon with the sea condition, sunset and all the fish you wanted.

Unfortunately we had to cancel the Saturday night trip due to the sea conditions.

However, on the brighter side of things the weather for this week looks great and from what I hear so far today the fishing is good - so come on down and enjoy a day or afternoon of fishing.

Aug. 2, 2014

Folks we had a few fish first thing this morning and then the wind came up (about 30 knots worth) and the fishing conditions and the fishing deteriorated rapidly. The fish were there but it was very difficult to fish for them. Needless to say we were home early.

The good news is that tomorrow's forecast looks a lot better than today, so I expect that fishing will be a lot better tomorrow.

See you in the morning.

All the fish were caught on Hammer jigs, Croc's & teasers.

July 27, 2014

BLUES & BONITA today. We were able to pick away on most drifts until the southerly breeze came up and that kind of slowed the fishing down. Overall it was an OK day with the smaller fish.

Saturday night's fishing was very very good with the smaller fish.

The daytime fish are being caught  Hammer jigs, Croc's & teasers and the night time fish on bait.

I spoke with Capt. Jim who has the Golden Eagle out on the afternoon trip and had over 30 Fluke on his first drift - a large portion were shorts with a few keepers

See you in the morning

July 26, 2014

Fishing was not what it had been the past few days. We had some BLUES & BONITA and a few larger Sea Bass but not enough. We read plenty of fish and saw fish splashing on top but they did not bite right today.

We will be back at it tomorrow and hopefully the results will be better.

Tomorrow's weather looks good so come on down enjoy some of this action.

July 18, 2014

BLUEFISHING was a lot slower today than yesterday. We picked some fish today but not as fast as it had been.

We will be back at it tomorrow.

July 17, 2014

We spent some time this morning looking for the bigger BLUES and found a couple of them but not enough - so we went to where we have been catching the smaller BLUES and it was good fishing and it kept getting better as the day went on. By the end of the day you had plenty of BLUES.

All the BLUES were caught on Hammer jigs, Croc's & teasers.

The weather for tomorrow and the next few days looks great - so come on down and enjoy some of this BLUEFISH action. See you in the morning.

July 16, 2014

After some rain this morning the weather finally got nice, but the BLUES did not seem to want to cooperate. We did catch a couple of 6 to 8 lb fish but not much else. We will be back at it tomorrow, hopefully with better results.

July 14, 2014

We picked some of the smaller BLUES today. All the BLUES were caught on Hammer jigs, Croc's & teasers.

July 13, 2014

BLUEFISH & BONITA today. It was a good day of fishing for the smaller BLUES and we had several bonita. The BONITA were between 2 & 4lbs.

All the fish were caught on Hammer jigs & Croc's & teasers.

The past couple of nights we had some BLUES & BONITA & MACKERAL but the night fishing still is not what it should be.

The Afternoon fishing has been a lot of fun with FLUKE & SEA BASS & a few BLUES.

July 12, 2014

BLUEFISHING was decent today but we were catching the smaller fish. Some customers had as many as 30 to 40 BLUES.

All the fish were on Hammer jigs, Croc's and teasers.

See you in the morning

July 11, 2014

Frustrating is the best way to describe today's fishing. On some drifts we were able to pick some BLUEFISH and on other drifts you could see the fish splashing but they would not bite. All the BLUES were caught on Hammer jigs and/or Croc's.

Late in the day we looked around for the DRUM fish but they were not  home today.

We will be back at it tomorrow.

July 10, 2014

This morning we had some good BLUEFISHING with the 5 to 8 lb BLUES all on Hammer jigs & Croc's. That fishing slowed down in the late morning so we took a shot and went to an area where we had seen bird life & bait. Well I saw a couple of splashes and a few fish finning on top and we stopped the boat and insatntly had 5 or 6 fish on and you could tell they were big fish.

They were big fish ok - BIG BLACK DRUM FISH - TO 80 LBS. We landed about 10 of them and lost 40 or so. Several of the fish spooled reels before you could get the fish stopped. It was a GREAT afternoon catching these DRUM fish.

We will be back at it tomorrow - see you then

July 9, 2014

A very good day of BLUEFISHING today. All the BLUES you wanted and we even saw a STRIPER. All the action was on Croc's or Hammer jigs.

Looking forward to another good day tomorrow.

July 8, 2014

For the most part today we stuck with the Sea Bass, Ling & Flounder fishing today which was good. There were reports that a big body of BLUEFISH showed up late in the day and we will certainly be looking for them tomorrow first thing in the morning.

See you then.

July 7, 2014

It was a tough couple of days with the BLUES - fishing went from good to slow overnight. At least we were ready for it today and were able to catch some Ling & Fluke.

We will be back at it again tomorrow - see you in the morning

July 5, 2014

Bluefishing was good again today. All the BLUES were caught on Run Off Hammer jigs, Croc's and/or Poppers. It still is a long ride to get to the fish but worth the ride once they start to bite. The BLUES ranged in size from 5 to 10 lbs. We will be back at it agin tomorrow - see you then.

The Firework Cruise last night was great. Long Brank did a great job with the fireworks, we were able to position the boat right in front of the display and the WEATHER WAS GREAT. Sunny when we left, a beautiful sunset, cool AND THE OCEAN WAS BEAUTIFUL. There were no 10 foot waves, there was no rain just a BEAUTIFUL NIGHT AND A GREAT FIREWORKS SHOW.

Folks when you want an accurate weather forecast fo winds and seas you need to look at some of the preimum websites that peolple pay for and wouldn't make any money if they kept giving out wrong forecasts. The people on TV are just reading from what a producer writes and my is most of them haven't spent a day in the ocean in their lives.

July 4, 2014

I am going to get very busy with this evenings Fireworks cruise so I will post Capt Jim's early report - he is starting to pick some Blues right away - my guess the fishing wil continue to improve as the current starts to run.

July 2, 2014

The BLUES continued to bite today, in fact it was very good fishing. All the fish were caught on jigs and they ranged in size from 5 to 10 lbs. You could have caught your limit today.

We will be back at it again tomorrow. See you in the morning.

July 1, 2014

Well the calendar shifted to July and some BLUEFISH were interested in biting. We had some fish today all on jigs. The fish were in the 5 to 10lb range. I would rate the fishing as ok. We will see if we can build off this tomorrow. Come join us.

June 30, 2014

The fishing has been very good, plenty of Ling, Sea Bass & Flounder, just not a lot of Blues.

The weather for the week looks good so come on down and enjoy a day in the ocean with some family and friends. And don't forget about our afternoon 4 hour fishing trips & cruise from 4:30pm to 8:30pm.

June 28, 2014

It was another tough day with the Blues but we did manage to catch some Ling, Sea Bass & Fluke. It was a beautiful day in the ocean and tomorrow looks as enjoyable. See you on board.

June 27, 2014

The past couple of days the Bluefishing has been tough - only a few Blues. When it looks like the Blues are not going to bite, we generally try to catch other types of fish. Both yesterday & today we ended up with nice catches of Sea Bass, Ling, Fluke & Flounder.

We will always try to catch you something.

Yesterday's afternoon Striper "live linning" trip was very slow. The water temperature has shot up to over 70 degrees and once this happens the Striper fishing generally ends until the Fall run which usually begins in mid October. I want to thank everyone on board last night for giving it their best shot.

June 24, 2014

A tough day with the BLUEFISH. We saw bird life & bait but getting the BLUES to bite was another story. We tried jigs, bait, drifting & anchoring & chumming but the result was the same. We finally caught some Fluke, ling & whiting while anchored on some rock piles.

SPECIAL STRIPER "LIVE LINNING" TRIP THURSDAY AFTERNOON AT 3:30PM - PLEASE MAKE RESERVATIONS

June 23, 2014

There was a little improvement in the BLUEFISHING today. Capt Jim had the Golden Eagle out today and he reported that he was able to pick some fish this morning - all on jigs. In the afternoon he said he put the anchor down and tried chumming for a while to no avail.

I HAVE CHANGED THE DATE OF THE SPECIAL STRIPER "LIVE LINNING" TRIP TO THURSDAY AFTERNNON JUNE 26 AT 3:30PM DUE TO THE WEATHER FORECAST - IT IS SIPPOSE TO BLOW 20 PLUS OUT OF THE SOUTH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.  RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED.

June 22, 2014

Capt Jim has the GOLDEN EAGLE out today and I have not heard from him yet so I can't give you today's report yet but I will once the boat gets in.

Last night BLUEFISHING was very slow - we saw a lot of fish swimming in the chum slick but they would not bite.

We have another SPECIAL STRIPER "LIVE LINNING" TRIP scheduled for WEDNESDAY at 3:30pm - the boat is limited and RESERVATIONS are required.

June 21, 2014

The past couple of days have been tough ones with the BLUES.  Yesterday everything looked right but the fish really did not want to bite. Today the wind was blowing out of the Northeast about 20K's - much more than they predicted -  and conditions were tough and they fish just did not cooperate.

Yesterday's afternoon STRIPER trip was a tough one with only one fish in the boat and a handful of fish lost.

We will be back at it tomorrow.

June 19, 2014

Today we picked at the BLUES on some drifts. In general it was not as good as it has been but like I said we  did have some drifts where we picked at the fish.

This afternoon's STRIPER "live linning" trip was quiet until early in the evening when we found some BASS that wanted to explore on the live bunker. The BASS we coming out of the water to attach the bunker. We ended up with about a dozen STRIPERS to 35 lbs along with some large BLUEFISH and we lost a couple of dozen BASS. All in all a decent trip.

June 18, 2014

For as good as the BLUEFISHING was the past few days - I was very surprised that today  was a tough as it was. We had some fish but not nearly enough. There was plenty of bird life, fish readings, bait and fish on top but they just didn't want to cooperate.

We will be back at it again tomorrow.

June 17, 2014

All the BLUES you wanted today  - very good fishing. The fish were in the 2 to 7 lb size range and evrything was caught on Run Off Hammer jigs, Croc's or Poppers.

The Thursday afternoon trip is sold out so I added a FRIDAY AFTERNOON TRIP STRIPER "LIVE LINNING" TRIP - RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED

June 16, 2014

This morning the BLUEFISHING was very good. The boat is still out in the ocean so I don't have the full report yet but I know the first few hours were very good. All the fish were cusght on jigs & Croc's.

Don't forget to make your reservations for Thursday afternoon's "Live Linning" STRIPER trip. We only have a few spots left.

June 15, 2014

Started the morning out in very exciting fashion by landing three 30 plus lb STRIPERS and losing several others - all on jigs. We stuck with the BASS most of the morning then we started to pick at the BLUES for the rest of the day. All the BLUEFISH action was on Run Off Hammer jigs, Croc's and Poppers.

The weather for tomorrow and the week look good so come on down and enjoy a beatuiful day in the ocean.

The bunker and STRIPERS are still around and the best time to fish for them is late afternoon/early evening so we are planning a special 'LIVE LINNING' trip for THURSDAY afternoon June 19 leaving around 3:30pm. The boat will be limited to 20 people and the cost is $75.00. Reservations are required. Let me know if you are interested.

June 14, 2014

After not being out in the ocean for a few days because of the awful weather we had last week, it was a very nice day. The ocean was clam, the sun was out and it was warm and tomorrow's forecast is even better. We were able to pick at some BLUES today but you really had to work at catching them. We also had a coule of very nice STRIPERS in the 30 to 35 lb range.

Everything was caught on Run Off Hammer jigs or Croc's.

It looks like the bunker and STRIPERS are still around and the best time to fish for them is late afternoon/early evening so we are planning a special 'LIVE LINNING' trip for THURSDAY afternoon June 19 leaving around 3:30pm. The boat will be limited to 20 people and the cost is $75.00. Reservations are required. Let me know if you are interested.

June 12, 2014

The weather has not been good to us this week, some days its rain other days its the wind but it looks like the weekend will be beautiful.  I do expect that the BLUES will be ready to bite now that this northeast blow seems to be ending.

June 10, 2014

A tough day on the Bluefish & Striper front today. We look at the beach early in the day then off in the mud hole and reef area for the Blues but there were not many to be found. Later we came inshore and "live lined" in the bunker schools for some Stripers but that didn't work out very well either. We did catch a few cod fish, both keepers & shorts.

We will be back at it again tomorrow.

June 8, 2014

We were able to pick at the BLUES with some good shots of fish on most drifts today. Al in all it was a pretty decent day of BLUEFISHING.

All the BLUES were caught on Run Off Hammer jigs, Croc's & Poppers. The fish ranged in size from 5 to 12 lbs.

June 7, 2014

There was an improvement in  the BLUEFISING today. We were able to pick at the BLUES most of the day - at times it was the 8 to 12lb fish and at times it was the 3 to 5 lb fish. We had bunkers all over the top with several whales crashing thru them and then the BLUES would crash thru the bunkers. It was very entertaining.

All the BLUES were caught on Hammer jigs or Croc's.

Looks good for tomorrow - see you in the morning

June 4, 2014

BLUEFISHING bounced back today. Capt Jim Elliott had the GOLDEN EAGLE out today and he found the fish out to the east about 16 miles and reported that the fishing was good. He said they would pick at the fish and then get shots of 15 or more fish at a time and  then pick at them. By the end of the day everyone had plenty of fish.

The fish ranged in size from 7 to 14 lbs and the action was on Run Off Hammer jigs, Croc's and bait.

June 3, 2014

Today was a tough one with the BLUES. We drove around the ocean, looked at a lot of areas, tried drifting & jigging like we have been and then anchoring & chumming but only caught a few fish.

We saw fish readings and bird life in several areas but for whatever reason the fish did not want to cooperate today. The only saving grace today was that it was a beautiful day in the ocean.

We will be back at it again tomorrow and I expect the fishing to return to the way it was. See you then.

We have a private fund raising charter for police officers on Thursday & Friday, June 5 & 6 and will not be open to the public.

June 2, 2014

Another good day of fishing for BLUES. The BLUES were chasing bait fish today so we had to move a lot to stay with them but it was worth the effort. The fish ranged in size from 6 to 12 lbs and all the action was on Run Off Hammer jigs or Croc's.

Tomorrow looks like another nice day so come on down. See you in the morning.

We have a private fund raising charter for police officers on Thursday & Friday, June 5 & 6 and will not be open to the public.

June 1, 2014

A pretty day in the ocean & a pretty good day of BLUEFISHING. The ocean was flat and we could see the BLUES swimming along side the boat most of the day.  Jeff from AJ's Auto Glass was the king of the Poppers today, he and a bunch of his friends used all different types of Poppers and were crushing the BLUES all day. It was a lot of fun to see the BLUES crash the Popper.

The BLUES ranged in size from 5 to 12 lbs and we caught them on Run Off Hammer jigs & Poppers, Croc's and bait.

The weather looks good for the next several days, so come on down and enjoy a day in the ocean catching some big BLUES.

Last night the BLUEFISHING was good with all the fish being caught on bait.

We have a private fund raising charter for police officers on Thursday & Friday, June 5 & 6 and will not be open to the public.

May 31, 2014

Another GOOD day of BLUEFISING. It took us a liitle while this morning to find the fish but once we did it turned into a GOOD day with the BLUES.

The BLUES ranged in size from 6 to 12 lbs and everything was on Run Off Hammer jigs with tails and Croc's.

Tomorrow looks good so come on down and join in on some of this hot BLUEFISH action .

May 30, 2014

Very Very good BLUEFISHING today. The first couple of hours it was complete chaos with 5 to 15 fish on at time and then fishing settled down to a pick of 1 to6 fish in the afternoon. By the end of the day evryone had all the fish they wanted and there were many limit catches. The fish ranged in size from 5 to 12 lbs and everything was caught of the Run Off Hammer jigs or Croc's.

May 28, 2014

To rough today - went out the inlet and turned around within the first mile.

May 27, 2014

Outstanding fishing today for BLUES. All the fish you want and we have been in catch & release mode since noon. Everything has been on Run Off Hammer jigs & Croc's. The fish range in size from 5 to 10 lbs with the pool winner going about 12 lbs.

May 26, 2014

A decent day of BLUEFISING today. Early in the day the BLUES were on top and it was complete chaos with 20 to 40 fish on at a time. Then the day settled down to where we would pick at the fish on each drift. Sometimes a couple of fish on, somtimes 6 to 8 on at a time.

All the fish were caught on Run Off Hammer jigs or Croc's.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) will be a BASS & BLUES day so be prepared for everything.

See you in the morning

May 25, 2014

A good day of BLUEFISHING today. The fish were larger than the past few days with the pool winner going 16 lbs and most fish in the 8 to 14 lb range. With the fish on top of the water today the action was on Run Off Hammer jigs, Croc's and Poppers.

Weather continues to look good so come down and enjoy a great day in the ocean.

See you in the morning.

May 24, 2014

We picked at the BLUES today - on some drifts we had some flurries of fish and other drifts we just picked some fish. The BLUES were in the 4 to 10 lb range and everything was caught on hammer jigs or Croc's.

Saw the BASS again today but they only wanted the "live" bait which is very difficult on a weekend with all the boat traffic, but if they are still there on Tuesday we will spend the day "live lining".

Weather looks good for tomorrow and the week.

See you in the morning.

May 23, 2014

We were able to pick at the BLUES today, a little slower than the past few days. The fish ranged in size from 3 to 10 lbs and were caught on Run Off Hammer jigs and/or Croc's.

Late in the afternoon we came  up on several schools of bunker and had a lot very large STRIPERS breaking water and crashing the bunkers all around the boat. We managed to hook a few but did not land any, maybe this the begining of the STRIPER run we have been waiting for.

The weather looks great for the entire weeekend, so come on down and get a start to the summer fishing season

See you in the morning

May 22, 2014

Capt Jim Elliott has the GOLDEN EAGLE out today and he called to let me know that fishing is VERY GOOD today. The BLUES are 4 to 12 lbs and all the action has been on Run Off Hammer jigs (4 oz) and Croc's (both the 5 oz and 7 oz).

May 21, 2014

Very Very good fishing for BLUES today. All the fish you wanted and many customers were in catch & release mode by the end of the day.

The fish ranged in size from 4 to 12 lbs and like the past week all the fish were on Run Off Hammer jigs and/or Croc's.

There seems to be a good size body of fish around and the weather through the weekend looks good so come on down and enjoy some Bluefishing.

See you in the morning

May 20, 2014

A very good day of BLUEFISING, all the fish you wanted with limit catches around the boat. The fish ranged in size from 4 to 12 lbs and all the action was on Run Off Hammer Jigs and Croc's.

Early in the day we came across several schools of bunkers and tried some swim shad and "live ling" but there did not seem to be many Bass around.

Weather looks good through the weekend so come on down and get in on some of this action.

See you in the morning.

May 19, 2014

We were able to pick away at the BLUES most of the day and by the end of the day it was a decent day of fishing. The fish ranged in size from 5 to 10 lbs and all the action was on jigs or croc's.

Weather looks good for tomorrow and I will see you in the morning.

May 18, 2014

We picked at the BLUES most of the day. At times the fishing looked like it was going to break open but than it would back off to a pick. There was a lot of boat traffic on these fish today and I believe that had something to do with with why fishing was just a pick. Boats stopping 50 feet from you, trying to drift between anchored boats, boats flying around at 20 knots, etc.

The fish ranged in size from 5 to 12 lbs and like the past few days all the action was on Run Off Hammer Jigs and Croc's.

Weather looks good for tomorrow - see you in the morning.

May 17, 2014

This morning we picked at the BLUES on most drifts. In the afternoon we changed locations and we had some very good drifts with10 to 15 BLUES on at a time. The Blues ranged in size form 5 to 10lbs and all the action was on Run Off Hammer Jigs and Croc's. All in all it was a good day of BLUEFISHING and the weather was beautiful.

Tomorrow  the weather looks great so come on down and enjoy a great day in the ocean with some family & friends. See you in the morning.

May 16

We are not fishing today due to the weather but TOMORROW, SATURDAY LOOKS GOOD - see everyone in the morning.

May 15, 2014

Fishing was slow this morning but some Blues decided to bite this afternoon and we got home late but we were able to put  some Blues in everyone's bag. Like the past few days all the action was on Croc's or Run Off Hammer jigs.

May 14, 2014

A very good day of BLUEFISING with limit catches being the norm and we were in catch & release mode by late morning - the BLUES ranged in size from 5 to 12 lbs.

All the action was on 4 oz Run Off Hammer jigs  or Croc's, both the 5 oz and 7 oz gold.

Tomorrow looks good, we will see you in the morning.

May 13, 2014

Another good day of BLUEFISHING along with some STRIPERS. The BLUES ranged between 4 & 10lbs and the STRIPERS were up to 25lbs which was the pool winner.

Everything was caught on Croc's or Run Off Hammer jigs.

There seem to be a lot of fish in the area so come on down tomorrow and enjoy some fishing

See you in the morning

May 12, 2014

It's been a while since I could say this but so far today fishing has been VERY GOOD. Some customers have there limit of BLUEFISH and are in catch & release mode as of 11:00am. We have some Bass to 20lbs. Everything today has been on jigs so far.

Folks we have waited a long time for these fish to show up and now is the time to get down here and catch some fish

May 11, 2014

We sailed with a light Monther's Day crowd and as of an hour ago we had a few STRIPERS & a few BLUES. Everything was caught on jigs.

I will update later.

Tomorrow it looks like some jigging and some "live lining"

May 10, 2014

The STRIPERS we caught today were by "live lining" bunkers. We were only able to snag a few bunkers but each one turned into a STRIPER bite. We didn't land them all but I believe we would have had more Bass if we could have snagged more bunkers and we able to let them drift out. The pool winner was a nice 25lb STRIPER.

The weather for the next several days looks great so come on down and enjoy a beautiful day on the ocean. But if you are coming bring your "live lining" equipment - bunker snags, light rod, etc

May 8, 2014

Not out today due to the weather but the weather looks like it will be sunny & warm - almost summer like - for a while.

We do have reports of some BLUES starting to show up in our waters, so we will start to explore this fishery over the next few days as well as continue with the STRIPERS.

May 6, 2014

Good fish readings, bird life, plenty of bait, Stripers splashing - I was excited thinking today was the day the fish were really going to start to bite. I was wrong, the most frustrating day of the season, we could see the fish but they refused to bite.

One day soon these fish are going to turn on - hopefully that's tomorrow.

May 5, 2014

Another tough day clamming for the Bass but there was a report of  a few STRIPERS caught on jigs - so tomorrow it is jigging - bring you jigs & shad  & croc's and we will see you in the morning

May 4, 2014

A few STRIPERS today but it was still very tough fishing in some very difficult conditions. We had the current against the wind most of the day and the lines were going toward the anchor line which made fishing tough. We did have some very good fish readings and plenty of bait, hopefully these Bass will get hungry soon.

We will see what happens tomorrow.

May 3, 2014

You could not ask for a nicer day in the ocean for this time of year but you could ask for better fishing. It was a tough day with the Bass, tried everything clams, bunker chunkes, swim shad, jigs, etc but the fish would not cooperate. The fish readings were good and there was plenty of bait but the fish were not very aggressive.

Tomorrow is another day and we try again.

The weather for the next several days looks great so come on down with some family and/or friends and enjoy a day of fishing.

May 2, 2014

A little slow with the STRIPERS today, we had a few but not many. The water warmed up like we hoped it would but there was still some swell left over in the morning and the water very dirty but started to clear up later in the day. Hopefully as things settle down tomorrow we will see the fishing improve.

May 1, 2014

The calendar has turned to May and it looks like we are going to get a strech of normal Spring weather for a while.

When we last left the STRIPERS we had them on top of the water, good readings and plenty of bait. Now that the water has warmed up with the easterly blow the past few days and we are off the moon, I expect that these fish will be hungry. We will find out tomorrow.

WE ARE STRIPER FISHING EVERYDAY AT 7:30am

April 28, 2014

Not a good day of STRIPER fishing. We had some very good fish readings, we saw some fish breaking water and there was plenty of bait but they did not want to bite. We only managed to catch a short. Part of the problem is the cold water (the eastly wind for the next few days will help warm the water up) and the another part of the problem is the moon and we will be on the other side of the new moon later this week. I think once this weather breaks the fishing will break open with it.

The weather for Tuesday & Wednesday will keep us at the dock ( east/northeast winds 20 to 30 k's)

April 27, 2014

A couple of keepers today along with a dozen shorts or so. Better than yesterday but not good enough. Today's action was on clams or swim shad.

We will try again tomorrow.

April 26, 2014

The STRIPER fishing today was slower than it has been - we did have a keeper and some shorts but the action was not as good as it had been. Today's action was on swim shad & clams.

The weather looks good for tomorrow and we will be at it again leaving at 7:30am.

April 25, 2014

I don't have the full report yet but by noon we had some keeper STRIPERS and a couple of shorts. I will post the full report when the boat gets back to the dock.

Tomorrow's weather looks ok any rain we might have tonite should be gone by the time we start fishing tomorrow.

April 24, 2014

STRIPERS TOMORROW & EVERYDAY AT 7:30AM - SEE YOU ON BOARD

April 22, 2014

Folks it looks like the wind is going to blow a little to hard - 25 to 40k's - Wednesday & Thursday to go fishing. We will be back at it Friday

April 20, 2014

The STRIPERS did bite today.

The pool winner was a nice 34" bass and we had several other customers who had a keeper. We also had several  short bass.  We started the season yesterday with slow fishing, today we were able to pick at both keepers & shorts, hopefully they will really turn on over the next few days.

We are sailing daily for STRIPERS at 7:30am

April 19, 2014

Started the STRIPER season today and let's say the fishing left a lot to be desired. The Bass front was slow so early in the afternoon we dropped on a couple of wrecks and we were able to catch some Ling and a couple winter flounder so we could put a some fish in the boat for a great bunch of customers

We wil be back at it again tomorrow trying to get some STRIPERS in the boat.

April 18, 2014

The wind looks like it is going to drop out and it should start to warm up with temp's in the 60's for the next several days so its time to get back to fishing.

There are some STRIPERS starting to be caught so we are start the day by looking for the Bass, if they don't want to cooperate we will switch over to some COD & LING in the afternoon.

STRIPERS TOMORROW

April 17, 2014

it looks a little to windy on Friday to fish so we will stay at the dock.

The GOOD NEWS IS THE WEATHER LOOKS GOOD FOR SATURDAY & SUNDAY & BEYOND AND WE WILL BE FISHING AGAIN.

April 16, 2014

Folks this is some Spring weather we are having. The forecast is for the the wind to blow 20 to 25K's today & Thursday and start to diminish on Friday but Friday is still questionable (will update tomorrow).

The GOOD NEWS IS THE WEATHER LOOKS GOOD FOR SATURDAY & SUNDAY & BEYOND AND WE WILL BE FISHING AGAIN.

April 13, 2014

Folks looking at the weather forecast for the next few days it looks the the wind will keep us at the dock on Monday (I know it suppose to be in the 70's but its suppose to blow 20 to 30 K's), Tuesday and Wednesday.

It looks like the next chance we will have to fish is later in the week and we will be STRIPER fishing then.

I will post an update on Tuesday

April 12, 2014

We spent the day dropping on different wrecks today and we caught a few Cod (both keepers & shorts), some Ling and a few short Blackfish. Highhook had 4 ling & a short Blackfish. While it was a beautiful day there was a  swell out of the south and once that started to lay out the fishing picked up.

We will be out there again tomorrow and the weather looks great so come on down and joinn us.

April 10, 2014

FISHING EVER DAY AT 7:30AM (weather premitting)

The next few days it looks like fishing the wrecks for COD - LING & BLACKFISH but if we see any signs of the STRIPERS we will shift gears and be there.

The weather for the nex 3 or 4 days looks great so come on down and get in on some of the Spring fishing

April 8, 2014

Folks it looks like the weather has started to warm up and we will be fishing everyday starting FRIDAY APRIL 11 at 7:30am.

Based on the reports from the past couple of days we may be a little early for the STRIPERS so we are going to stay with the wreck fishing for COD & LING, but if we hear or see any STRIPER action we will shift gears and get the STRIPER fishery going.

See you on Friday.

April 6, 2014

The day started out with some good fishing - boated several keeper cod along with some throwbacks and a couple of keeper blackfish on our first drop. Around mid morning a very stong current started running and that pretty much shut the fishing down for the rest of the day. We tried different water depths but most everything was unproductive after the current statrd to run.

We will be sailing daily starting FRIDAY, APRIL 11 at 7:30am

April 1, 2014

WE WILL BE FISHING SATURDAY & SUNDAY - APRIL 5 & 6 AT 7:30AM

COD - LING - MACKEREL

We will be starting to fish every day on Friday, April 11 at 7:30 - hopefully we will see the STRIPERS by then

March 28, 2014

Between the wind & the rain for the next few days I don't think we will be able to fish tomorrow and Sunday. So if you were planning on coming down I would change plans.

SATURDAY & SUNDAY MARCH 29 & 30 ARE CANCELLED

It been tough getting this season started but we are going to GET STARTED SATURDAY & SUNDAY - APRIL 5 & 6

I will keep you updated during the week

March 27, 2014

Folks at this point we are still looking at sailing SATURDAY & SUNDAY for COD & LING at 7:30am, but the weather could become an issue - I will take a another look at it tomorrow morning and let you know more.

It just seems that the weather that we have had for the past few months just doesn't want to let go and give us an opportunity to get this fishing season going.

We'll let you know more tomorrow

March 25, 2014

Not sure what happened to the reports that I have put up for the past 10 days but lets recap.

We didn't make it out last weekend - to much wind on Saturday.

WE ARE SAILING on SATURDAY & SUNDAY - MARCH 29 & 30 at 7:30am for COD & LING.

AS OF NOW THE WEATHER LOOKS GOOD - SO COME ON DOWN AND JOIN US

Jan 13, 2014

Folks the MACKEREL have not shown up in any numbers therefore, we will not be fishing for them until they show.

Right now we are going to start some winter projects on the GOLDEN EAGLE and start to get here ready so we can be fishig again in March.

If any one has any questions over the winter please feel free to give me a call - 732-681-6144

I will keep you posted on when we will be fishing again. Thanks to everyone for a great season and we look forward to seeing you once the fishing starts again.

Jan. 3, 2014

We haven't sailed the past several days due to the weather - but the weather for Saturday & Sunday looks good so we will be MACKEREL fishing at 7:00am both days

See you on board

Dec 28, 2013

The start of the mackerel season has been a little slow. Yesterday fishing was bad - today there was an improvement. We were able to pick at the Mackerel & Herring today on some drifts but the fishing was not consistent although there were a few times it looked like it was going to get good with several doubles & triples coming over the rail only to die off again.

We have a front moving through tomorrow into Monday and after it passes the fishing should improve.

Dec. 26, 2013

The MACKEREL are here - sailing daily at 7:00am

Dec 21, 2013

MACKEREL - MACKEREL - SAILING DAILY AT 7:00AM STARTING FRIDAY DEC. 27

Folks the Mackerel are starting to show up in our local waters and we will be fishing for them daily leaving at 7:00am starting Friday, Dec. 27 - Capt Jimm Elliott and I can not wait to get this Mackerel season underway. It seems that there is a decent body of fish moving into our area and we should see more and more of them arriving everyday. So get ready for some early winter Mackerel fishing.

See you next week.

There have been reports of mackeral starting to show in our waters and I would expect that the winter Mackeral season will start shortly - I'm guessing another week or 10 days. Once we start we will be sailing daily at 7:00am.

Dec 7, 2013

Not a great day of STRIPER fishing  although we did end up with 3 keepers to 28lbs and a few dozen shorts plus a few Blues but just not enough fish.

Based on the time of the year we are reducing our schedule to Friday, Saturday & Sunday at 7:30am

Dec 5, 2013

Another good day of STRIPER fishing. The action on the short Bass was not as fast as it had been the past few days but the action on the keepers was much better. We had a few customers who limited out and many others who had a keeper a piece.

Remember tomorrow , Friday is a STRIPERTHON - 6:00am departure.

Dec 4, 2013

A good day of STRIPER fishing. We started out in the morning with some very hot action on short Bass and Blues. It was easy to catch 5 to 6 fish a drift. That fishing slowed down around 11:30am when we lost the current so I decided to take a ride and look for some keeper size STRIPERS. We found some and we were able to pick at them in the afternoon along with some more short Bass.

Like the past several days the Run Off Gold Hammer jigs were the hot jig.

Dec 3, 2013

Very good STRIPER fishing today. Plenty of action all day long with mostly short Bass. Some customers had 20 to 30 fish apiece.

Again the Gold Run Off Hammer jigs worked the best.

Dec 2, 2013

A pretty good day of STRIPER fishing. There was action on both keepers to 30lbs and shorts along with some Blues. We had a couple of drifts very early in the morning before most other boats were out with Keepers & shorts. Around mid day it was action with shorts and later in the afternoon we had several drifts were we caught more keepers & shorts. The pool fish was a 30lb Bass and we had a couple of other Bass in the 15 to 20lb range along with several 30 inch fish and many near misses (27 inch) with the shorts.

The hot jigs were the Run Off gold hammer jigs.

Dec 1, 2013

A good day of STRIPER fishing with a mix of keeper size and short Bass and there were plenty of Blues around also. Highhook had 15 Bass plus some Blues.

Most of the fish were caught on Run Off 47's & 67's both gold and crome with tails.

Remember tomorrow is a STRIPERTHON we leave the dock at 6:00am.

Nov 30, 2013

A very decent day of STRIPER fishing today. Plenty of action with shorts just not alot of keepers. Highhook was in the mid teens. The boat traffic make it tough to stay on the fish but in general it was OK fishing. Most of the fish were caught on Run Off gold hammer jigs.

Nov 29. 2013

A very strange day of STRIPER fishing. The water within a few miles of the beach was very dirty mostly due to the run off from the rain on Wednesday and the STRIPERS moved off the beach into the cleaner water. Unfortuantely, the fish spent most of the day well over the 3 mile line and we were unable to keep any thing we caught. We did have some good shots at the Bass both shorts and keeper size when we were over the line and the action was good but like I said we could not keep any out their.

We were lucky enough to catch a couple of keepers inside the line later in the day.

Hopefully the fish will move back into the beach as the water clears up which it started to do later in the day.

Nov 26, 2013

Another EXCELLENT EXCELLENT day of STRIPER fishing. Capt Jim has the GOLDEN EAGLE out today and around noon he called to say he is well on his way to having everyone limited out with STRIPERS. He says there are a lot of shorts mixed in and some customers have 30 to 40 fish each and he is still at it.

Tomorrows weather does not look good so we will be tied to the dock - but with the way this fishing has been the past few days make sure you are here for Friday's STRIPERTHON or Saturday or Sunday's trip.

Have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone.

Nov 25, 2013

ANOTHER STRIPERTHON MONDAY MASSACRE - COMPLETE BOAT LIMIT

Excellent STRIPER fishing today for those that wanted to brave the cold temp.'s. We had a complete boat limit including bonus fish and were releasing keeper size Bass by 10:30am. There were plenty of shorts also. The largest STRIPER was 21lbs and we had a highook of a couple dozen Bass, a mix of keepers & shorts. Many other customers had 10 to 15 Stripers each and everyone went home with at least 2 keepers.

Gold Run Off 47's & 67's were the ticket today with a slow retrieve.

Tomorrow's weather looks a little warmer than today so come on down and get in on some HOT Pre-Thanksgiving STRIPER fishing.

We will not be sailing on THANKSGIVING Day, stay home, enjoy you dinner, spend some time with family & friends and watch some football. Then get ready for FRIDAY'S STRIPERTHON.

Nov 23, 2013

Certainly a better day of STRIPER fishing today compared to yesterday. There were a lot of short fish today along with enough keepers and almost keepers to keep things interesting. We also had some Blues to spice up the mix. Highhook had 7 Bass and a couple of Blues.

The gold Ava 47's & 67's worked best.

We will not be sailing on THANKSGIVING Day, stay home, enjoy you dinner, spend some time with family & friends and watch some football. Then get ready for FRIDAY'S STRIPERTHON.

Nov 22, 2013

It was another lean day with the STRIPERS today. Leaving early helped us catch the Bass that we had since all but couple of our Bass were caught before 8:30 in the morning but we didn't have enough. Just like the day before - good bird life, Stripers rolling on top of the water, some of the best fish readings I have seen all season but they did not want to chew. Trust me one day they will really turn on and you want to be there then, maybe tomorrow.

We will not be sailing on THANKSGIVING Day, stay home, enjoy you dinner, spend some time with family & friends and watch some football. Then get ready for FRIDAY'S STRIPERTHON.

Nov 21, 2013

Today was a little frustrating with the STRIPERS, there was an early bite that died off around 9:00am which we only got the tail end of (tomorrow will be different leaving at 6:00am) and after that, it was see good bird life and fish readings but only catch a few here and there. Those that were lucky ended up with limit catches but several customers only had shorts or a few Blues.

It was Ava's with tails & Croc's that seemed the most popular lures with the fish today.

Nov 19, 2013

Not a stellar day  of fishing, saw fishing breaking water & had great fish readings but they just did not bite very well. The wind might of had something to do with it but whatever it was the STRIPERS were not in the mood to chew. We did end up with some Blues and a couple of short Bass.

Tomorrow is another day and we'll try again.

Nov 17, 2013

It was a tough day with the STRIPERS, but we were able to get a few good drifts at the end of the day once the boat traffic slowed down. Early in the day the little boats made it impossible to fish where you wanted and then the fog rolled in and moving around was difficult. But like I said towards the end of the day we had a few good drifts where we had 2 to 6 fish on at a time and had some limit catches.

We ended with about 40 keepers and as many shorts. The gold Ava's seemed to work best.

Nov 16, 2013

Another decent day of STRIPER fishing. The boat traffic was tough but we still managed to put together a decent catch of Bass. Several customers had limits including bonus fish, some had one keeper and some had just shorts or Blues.

Steve B was highhook with 7 Bass - all keeper size and Tony had 5 Bass all keeper size.

Just like the past few days, Ava's, Croc's & Poppers.

Nov 15, 2013

A long STRIPERTHON today folks, but in the end it was worth it. Some drifts we picked a few fish, some drifts we picked 20 or 30 fish and at the end of the day we got on some patches of Bass going wild and we had a couple of good shots at them. Several customers had their limits including bonus fish, some had  one Keeper  along with some shorts and some had all shorts. Highhook had 11 fish a mix of keepers & shorts.

We caught the fish on Ava 47's & 67's (gold & with tails), Croc's & Poppers - at different times of the day certain lures worked better than others.

The weather for tomorrow & Sunday looks good so come on down and get in on some of this STRIPER action.

Nov 14, 2013

After a couple days off due to the weather it was nice to get back out in the ocean today and it was a good day of STRIPER fishing along with some Blues. There were plenty of STRIPERS, not all of them were keepers there were shorts mixed in but still highhook had 8 Bass a mixed of keepers & shorts along with a few Blues.

It seemed the bigger fish were caught near the top on Poppers, swim shad & jigs, while more shorts were caught near the bottom on jigs. But every day is different.

Remember tomorrow is a STRIPERTHON when we leave at 6:00am - if your coming tomorrow bring a good selection of Poppers, jigs, etc. so you can give the fish what they want when they want it.

Nov 11, 2013

STRIPERTHON MONDAY MASSACRE

Excellent STRIPER fishing today. We ended up with almost 80 keeper Bass to 25lbs plus 25 shorts and plenty of Blues. Limit catches including bonus fish was the norm. Leaving early was the ticket today as we had two-thirds of our fish in the boat before the next boat arrived. After the boat traffic got on the fish we were able to pick at the STRIPERS the rest of the day.

At sun rise the fish were all over the top with bird life all over and it was some sight to watch STRIPERS crashing on Popper for the first half hour. Then it was the jigs that took over, Ava 47's & 67's and Croc's.

Nov 10, 2013

Decent catch of STRIPERS today along with Blues. A couple of customers had their limits and many others went home with at least one Bass.

Picked away at the Blues on most drifts also.

Everything was caught on and Ava 47 or Croc.

Nov 9, 2013

Banged away at the Blues in the morning because there was just too much boat traffic on the Bass and they had a case of lock jaw. Later in the afternoon when many of the small boats went home the bird life started to appear and we were able catch a few bass.

All the Blues & Bass were caught on Ava 47's and Croc's.

Nov 8, 2013

We had our first STRIPERTHON of the season today and the STRIPER fishing did hold up its end of the bargin. The STRIPER side of things was a little slow, we saw plenty of fish splashing, miles & miles of bird life, great fish readings and plenty of bait but getting the Bass to cooperate was a little tough.

There were plenty of Blues arond but we were mainly focused on the STRIPER today.

Nov 6, 2013

Some STRIPERS today about a dozen keepers and a few shorts. Good fish readings and bird life but it was hard to get the Bass to bite.

We were able to pick some Blues but we didn't spend a lot of time with them as I was trying to convince myself that the bass were going to really turn on at some point during the day, but it just didn't happen.

Don't forget Friday is a STRIPERTHON were we leave the dock at 6:00am

Nov 5, 2013

We had some STRIPERS today plus Blues. We could have loaded the boat with the Blues if I had stuck with it longer but most everyone wanted STRIPERS so we went hunting for them. We found some, mixed keepers & shorts. The STRIPERS were caught mostly on gold hammer jigs and poppers.

Nov 3, 2013

Well folks the weather forecast was wrong, rather than blow 20 out of the northwest like predicted and be a nice day in the ocean, it blew 25 out of the north-northeast today and that made it very uncomfortable in the ocean with 4 to 6 ft seas and drifting at almost 2 knots.

We were able to pick at the Blues on some drifts and other drifts just a few. The Striper front was a little slow mainly because we were not able to get to the fish in the sea conditions  we had.

Nov 2, 2013

There were fish (Stripers & Blues) breaking water in several large areas. Bird life & plenty of bait. The fish would swim right down the side of the boat but they would not bite right. I don't know why, we threw everything at them, Ava's, Croc's, Poppers, Swim shad, Bucktails, etc. but we only managed to catch a few STRIPERS and some Blues, just not enough.

The fish are around, that's for sure and hopefully they will decide to bite tomorrow.

Oct 31, 2013

Capt Jim had the boat out today with a small group of great customers and he averaged a STRIPER per person. He said there was an area of over a mile with STRIPERS breaking water and great fish readings under the boat but they did not bite like you saw them. Still everyone went home with a Bass up to 25lbs.

The fish were caught on Ava's, Croc's and Poppers.

The forecast for Saturday looks great and I believe these fish will start to bite more and more each day.

Oct 30, 2013

Folks, the fishing to the north on those long rides has slowed down, we are fishing locally today and are catching some STRIPERS and we see a lot of Bass breaking water. It looks like the fish that were up north are starting to move into our area so I believe that the long rides are over and we will be fishing on the Jersey beach. I will update the report later when we are done fishing.

Oct 29, 2013

Folks, we started the long run for the Bass today but the wind was about 20 k's out of the northeast and it was just a little too nasty to make the run, so we fished locally. We ended up with some big Blues here and there but not enough of them. It semmed at the end of the day we were starting to see more & more fish on top but they really it not want to chew like they should have.

TOMORROW'S FORECAST LOOKS MUCH BETTER THAN TODAY SO IF YOU COME MORE THEN LIKELY WE WILL TAKE THE RIDE.

Oct 28, 2013

A GREAT day of STRIPER fishing along with plenty of Blues. We had to take a long ride to get to the fish but WE DID and it really paid off. Many many limit catches including bonus fish with a highhook of 6 STRIPERS plus all the Blues you wanted. All the fish were caught on jigs (Ava 47's & 67's & Croc's)

As of tomorrow we will be making the long run for the STRIPERS, weather premitting, the fare will be $70 for the long runs and don't expect to get home until late in the afternoon. If we fish locally the fare will be the normal $58.

On MONDAY's & FRIDAY's will will be making our STRIPERTHON's when we will leave the dock at 6:00am

Oct 27, 2013

Another tough day of fishing. We were able to pick at the MONSTER Blues & a few STRIPERS early in the day but then the forecasted 10 to 15k wind started to blow about 25k's or better and we were drifting at over 2 knots and the fishing died right off.

Saw plenty of bird life & fish readings & bait but the conditions got very difficult to catch anything in. We'll be back at it tomorrow to give it another try, hopefully with a little less wind.

Oct 26, 2013

Very tough fishing today to say the least. Plenty of bird life & bait & fish readings but nothing wanted to bite in several areas. We did manage to catch a handful of Blues, a couple handfuls of weakfish and a short Striper, but once the wind came up at 25 to 30K's around mid-day the drift just got way to fast.

We are suppose to have better conditions tomorrow so we see what develops, like I said there are plenty of fish around we just need them to decide to bite.

Oct 25, 2013

Not the greatest day of fishing today, the first ten minutes started out like it would be a great day with 4 STRIPERS in the boat plus a couple of shorts. But after that we were only able to capture another handful of STRIPERS plus pick at some MONSTER Blues to 20 plus lbs. The biggest STRIPER of the day was 36lbs.

All the fish were caught on jigs both Ava's & Croc's.

We'll try it again tomorrow and see what happens.

Oct 24, 2013

We were able pick at the MONSTER Blues today. For whatever reason fishing was a little off today, the fishing reading were very good and there was plenty of bird life but the fish did not bite as good as they had been. All the fish were caught on jigs.

Oct 23, 2013 UPDATE

Monday's we caught MONSTER Blues & STRIPERS

Monday/Tuesday's Tuna trip was not as good as the last one. We had tuna under the boat most of the night & day, fish swimming thru the slick and fish breaking water around the boat but we only managed to boat a handful of them plus a large sword fish and we lost about 20. It was very frustrating to say the least to see all these tuna fish around but not being able to catch very many.

We are going to start our STRIPERTHON'S on FRIDAY Nov. 1 - we will DEPART at 6:00am every MONDAY & FRIDAY for STRIPERTHON'S, we generally return between 3:00 and 4:00pm

Oct 20, 2013

Crazy STRIPER & Bluefish bite today.

Took a long ride to day to get in on some STRIPER action and boy was it worth it. Had over 130 keeper STRIPERS with many fish over 30lbs and the largest being almost 40lbs.

Many Many customers had their limits including bonus fish, with a highhook of 7 bass. We also caught plenty of Blues to go along with the STRIPERS.

Didn't get back to the dock until near 5:00pm but it was well worth the effort.

Oct 19, 2013

Another good day of fishing for the MONSTER BLUES to 22+lbs. The morning was very very good and we picked at the fish in the afternoon. We also had a few STRIPERS to 20lbs.

Considering the amount of boat traffic today and all the little boats flying through the schools of fish I am not surprized that the bass kept their heads down.

All the fish were caught on jigs (Ava 47's & 67's and Croc's).

Oct 18, 2013

OUTSTANDING insane fishing today for the MONSTER Blues & STRIPERS. Folks, picture 10 to 15 - 18 to 23lb MONSTER Blues at a time along with some STRIPERS, well that's what today and the past few days have been all about.

I tried to get away from the MONSTER Blues later in the afternoon to try to catch some STRIPERS and that worked for a few drifts where we were able to pick at the bass but then the MONSTER Blues and STRIPERS got together again and it was insane fishing again. Our largest STRIPER was 33lbs and the largest MONSTER BLUE was over 23lbs.

All the fish were caught on jigs (Ava 47's and Croc's). Look forward to doing it again tomorrow.

Oct 17, 2014

Very good fishing for MONSTER Blues & Stripers. Folks, these are some of the largest Blues I have ever seen, the largest Blue today was 23.5lbs and there were many many fish over 20lbs. There were also a good number of STRIPERS to 24lbs.

All the fish were caught on jigs (Ava's & Croc's). Some of the fish today just inhaled the Ava 47's to where we had to cut them out of the fish.

Oct 16, 2014

Good fishing for the MONSTER Blues today. Again we were into the 15 to 19lb fish, all on jigs (Ava's & Croc's).

It was a little light on the Striper front with only one short being caught, but that is not unusual for the early part of the Striper run. Some days they bite and other days they are a little hard to find. As more & more bass move into the area the Striper fishing will get much more consistent.

Oct 15, 2013

It was good to back to fishing today and the STRIPERS & MONSTER BLUES cooperated.

We had over a dozen STRIPERS with a couple of customers catching their limits of STRIPERS.

We also good fishing for the MONSTER BLUES to 20lbs. Everything was caught on jigs (ava 47's, croc's or swim shad). All in all a very good day of fishing.

The weather for the next several days looks good and hopefully we can build on today's STRIPER catch.

Oct 14, 2013

It looks like this wind is finally starting to lay out and it is suppose to continue to diminish over the next 24 hours so we are going to FISHING TOMORROW - like I said we are going to spend some time hunting for the STRIPERS because I think they are here, we just need to locate them. See you tomorrow.

Oct 13, 2013

The weather is going keep us at the dock for MONDAY - it looks like it is going to start lay out Monday afternoon so we are going to plan on sailing on Tuesday. I believe that the STRIPERS are going to appear as soon as we can get back out in the ocean, therefore we will spend some time targeting them this week.

Regarding tomorrow's tuna trip - it has been rescheduled for MONDAY Oct 21 at 5:00pm - there is still space available - make your reservations now

Oct 12, 2013

As frustrating as it is this weather pattern has not changed yet, therefore we will not be sailing on Sunday.

Regarding the Tuna trip scheduled for Monday afternoon - it will have to be postponed. I am in the process of calling everyone on the trip to see if we can come up with a makeup date, but if you read this post before you get my call - please give me a call.

Oct 11, 2013

Well this weather pattern is still here and it is not going to let us sail Saturday or Saturday night - I will post tomorrow regaring Sunday we will see what develops.

Oct 10, 2013

Well folks we are still in this weather pattern with some very strong Northeast winds and it does not look like it is going to break for a couple of days so we will not be sailing on FRIDAY and I will post tomorrow regarding Saturday.

Oct 9, 2013

We will not be sailing tomorrow (THURSDAY) due to this Northeaster and the winds it is bring with it - I will post tomorrow to see what Friday looks like but at this point it does not look good

Oct 8, 2013

We did not sail today due the Northeast wind and the forecast for the next few days is Northeast winds up to 30 knots so I don't think we will be sailing tomorrow(Wednesday).

I will post tomorrow to let you know how Thursday's weather looks.

Oct 6-7, 2013 TUNA TRIP

EXCELLENT tuna trip Sunday night & Monday. We fished the canyon and with 5 minutes of fishing we hooked the first fish and it went on from there. We ended up with over 40 tuna a combination of Yellow Fin and Long Fin tuna. At times there were 5 tp 6 fish on at a time.

The largest Yellow fin was in the 100lb class. We also boated 2 large Sword fish and a Mako over 150lbs.

Some customers boated as many as 4 fish and lost a few, others had 5 or 6 fish on but lost them all.

It was an EXCELLENT trip and with our new engines & speed we were able to make the 100 mile run in about 6 hours.

We still have space available on the Monday night OCT 14th trip - book now if you want a shot at the TUNA's

Oct 6, 2013

Good fishing today for the MONSTER Blues in the 12 to 18lb range. We caught them on jigs & bait.

Yesterday and last night we had decent fishing for the MONSTER Blues in the 8 to 15lb range.

We are about to sail for our 24hr Tuna trip will update when we get back.

Oct 4, 2013

Another day of VERY GOOD fishing for the MONSTER Blues today. We caught the fish from the time the anchor went in the bottom until it was time to go home. The MONSTER Blues bit on jigs & bait and ranged in size from 8 to 16lbs. Several customers had limit catches.

Oct 3, 2013

Very good fishing for the MONSTER Blues today. The first 2 hours of the day were excellent on jigs & bait and we banged away at the fish on bait the rest of the day. The fish ranged in size from 8 to 14lbs and several customers had limit catches.

Oct 2, 2013

Good fishing for the MONSTER Blues today in the 8 to 15lb range. We banged away at the fish on both bait & jigs until early afternoon when the fishing slowed down. Most of the day we had between 2 and 8 fish on at a time and everyone went home with some fish.

Oct 1, 2013

Very good fishing today for the MONSTER Blues. It started out as a pick on bait early in the day and around mid day it turned into a slaughter on jigs. The Blues ranged in size from 8 to 15lbs and their were many limit catches.

Sept 30, 2013

This morning we stopped where the MONSTER Blues were yesterday and we ended up catching 4 to 5lb blues on jigs as fast as you could catch them for about 2 hours. Once that slowed down we went hunting for the MONSTER Blues and we found some in the afternoon on the anchor with chum and bait. All in all it was a very good day of fishing and we had several customers with limit catches.

Sept 29, 2013

MONSTER Blues to 20 plus lbs. Striped Bass to 18lbs and Albies. We had it all going on today we picked at the MONSTER Blues with 5 fish over 20lbs, we had a couple of Stripers in the 18lb range and we had some shots at the Albacore. Everything was on jigs or croc's today and we ended up with a very nice catch of fish.

The calendar is about to change to October and it looks like the Striper's are starting to wake up.

Sept 28, 2013

MONSTER Blues & Albies today upwards to 10 Albies a person for those that wanted to fish for them. It was a pick on the MONSTER Blues on both jigs & bait. The Blues ranged in size from 8 to 15lbs.

Last night we picked at the MONSTER Blues until about modnight and then it slowed down. All the night fish were on bait.

Sept 27, 2013

MONSTER Blues, Albies & Pollock today. We had decent Bluefishing today with the MONSTER Blues and some Albacore & Pollock to spice up the catch. We caught the fish on bait & jigs.

Sept 26, 2013

Very vey good fishing today for the MONSTER Blues. Many customers had their limits and most of the fish were caught on bait. The fish were in the 10 to 15lb range.

Sept 25, 2013

For as good as fishing was yesterday its hard to believe that the fish just didn't want to bite today. There were plenty of fish readings but they just didn't eat like they should have. We were able to pick some MONSTER fish but not enough. Tomorrow is another day and will try it again tomorrow.

Sept 24, 2013

Very good fishing for the MONSTER Blues and I mean MONSTER Blues. The pool winner was 20lbs 2oz and there were many many fish in the 17 to 20lb range. There were a couple of limit catches of these MONSTERS. All the fish today were caught on jigs.

Sept 22, 2103

We had a decent day of fishing for the MONSTER Blues in the 12 to 19lb range. Most of the fish were caught on jigs.

The weather for the this week looks good so come on down and get your shot at these MONSTER Blues in Jurassic Park.

Just a note - we will be Bluefishing on Tuesday the 24th not Tuna fishing.

Sept 21, 2013

We picked at the MONSTER Blues today both on bait & jigs, but it wasn't as good as the past several days. A few ALBACORE showed up today, maybe we can get a little run of these going.

Sept 20, 2013

Good fishing today for the MONSTER Blues. The day started as fast as you could catch them on jigs and slowly went to bait with 3 to 10 fish on a time in the afternoon. The MONSTER Blues were in the 10 to 15lb range.

Sept 19, 2013

Bluefishing for the MONSTER Blues was ok today. Not as good as the past few days but still had some customers with 10 to 12 Blues and some only had a few. The Blues ranged in size form 10 to 15lbs and it seemd like it was better on the jigs early in the day and then the bait took over and most of the fish in the afternoon were on bait. We also had a nice 16lb cod fish.

Sept 18, 2013

Super Bluefishing for the MONSTER Blues today. All the Blues you wanted with several limit catches. Today's fish were in the 10 to 17lb range and they were caught on jigs and bait.

Sept 16, 2013

JURASSIC PARK was very entertaining again today. It took us a little while to get them going but once they started it was all the MONSTER Blues you wanted from 10 to 18lbs. Most of the fish today were on bait.

Yesterday the boat traffic slowed the fishing down, we ended up with a fair catch of MONSTER Blues mostly on bait.

Saturday night it was very good fishing for the MONSTER Blues - all on bait.

Sept 14, 2013

Good fishing today for the MONSTER Blues. Today was more jigs than bait with terrible conditions, with the tide up against the wind but some customers were able to catch their limits of Blues in the 10 to 19lb range.

Last night we were able to catch the MONSTER Blues all on bait.

Sept 13, 2013

Another EXCELLENT day of Bluefishing for the MONSTER Blues in the 10 to 18lb range. Several customers had limit catches. Most of the fish were caught on bait but jigs worked also.

Sept 11, 2013

JURASSIC PARK CONTINUES

Another very good day of fishing for the MONSTER Blues in the 10 to 18lb range. From the time we dropped the anchor until it was time to come home we had fish on, at times 8 to 10 fish on at a time. Most of the fish were on bait.

The weather looks good for the next several days so NOW is the time to come if you want a shot at these MONSTERS.

Sept 10, 2013

JURASSIC PARK IS STILL ALIVE.

Another good day of fishing for MONSTER Blues in the 10 to 18lb range. It started on the drift with jigs, then we went to the anchor and chum & bait, then back to the drift with jigs and again on the anchor with the bait.  By the end we had a good catch of MONSTER Blues.

Sept 9, 2013

EXCELLENT fishing for MONSTER Blues today. Got to the grounds this morning and read the fish really good, made a drift and hooked 8 to 10 fish immediately but the drift was too fast. So we dropped the anchor and threw the chum, it took about 10 minutes to get the fish going. But once they started the bite was on until it was time to come. We had several limit catches of the MONSTER Blues in the 10 to 18lb range. Everyone had all they wanted. Most of the fish were caught on bait.

Sept 8, 2013

Another good day of catching the MONSTER Blues in the 10 to 18lb range today. It started with a drift and good shots of fish on jigs. Then we anchored and we were able to bang away at the fish on bait and jigs until it slowed down around noon. All in all a pretty good day - I would say that JURASSIC PARK is still alive and well.

Last night fishing was a steady pick all night on the MONSTER Blues, all on bait.

Sept 7, 2013

JURASSIC PARK CONTINUES

Last night it was VERY VERY good fishing for MONSTER Blues in the 10 to 15lb range, all on bait.

Today it was decent fishing for MONSTER Blues. Most of the fish were caught on jigs today.

Sept 6, 2013

JURASSIC PARK IS ALIVE AND WELL. Capt Jim had the Golden Eagle out today and reported very very good Bluefishing for the MONSTER Blues in the 12 to 18lb range. He anchored up first thing in the morning and was able to catch the fish on bait and jigs all day. Some customers had limit catches of these MONSTERS.

If you want a chance to catch these MONSTER fish now is the time to come.

Last night the fishing was a little slow.

Sept 5, 2013

It was another decent day of Bluefishing for MONSTER Blues to 19lbs again today. JURASSIC PARK is still there. The fishing readings were unbelievable  and we were able to get shots of 3 to 8 fish on at a time. All the fish were on jigs.

Sept 4, 2013

It was a decent day of Bluefishing. We with amount of MONSTER Blues that we saw on top and the fish readings under the boat it should have been a lot better but the fish didn't want to bite right, With that said we were able to pick at the MONSTER Blues in the 12 to 18lb range on jigs & bait. We also added some 3 to 5lb Blues to the mix.

Sept 3, 2013

We had good fishing today. We started out jigging the 3 to 5lb Blues and we had some very good drifts. When we lost the tide and the jigging slowed we went in search of the MONSTER Blues. We read "mountains" of them but they would not touch the jigs. So we put the anchor in and threw some chum and we had several shots at the MONSTER Blues in the 12 to 17lb range. Conditions were tough on the anchor but we were able to get 2 to 4 of these fish on at a time. Our pool winner was Bill Dickson with a 17lb blue.

Sept 2, 2013

Decent fishing today - the MONSTER Blues did not want to bite in the morning so we ended up catching the 3 to 5lb blues, some drifts were very good - later in the afternoon we took a shot at the MONSTER Blues again and we were able to catch some in the 12 to 15lb range. For the readings we had we should have caught a lot more but they just didn't want to feed like they should have.

Yesterday fishing was a little tough we were able to catch a few MONSTER Blues but not enough. All the daytime fish were on jigs

Last night fishing was fair with a combination of the 3 to 5lb fish and they MONSTER Blues. All the night fish were on bait.

Effective Sept 2 our new night time schedule is Thurs. night thru Sunday night

August 31, 2013

Decent fishing for the MONSTER Blues in JURASSIC PARK again today. Conditions were tough with the bait lines going to the bow most of the day but we were able pick away at the MONSTER Blues in the 10 to 19lb range all day. The fish were caught on bait and jigs.

Last night's fishing was good - with all the fish being caught on bait.

August 30, 2013

EXCELLENT Bluefishing today with the MONSTER Blues from 10 to 18lbs. We had a few shots at the fish on jigs early in the day and then I decided to put the anchor down and throw some chum. In a few minutes we were holding 5 to 10 MONSTER Blues on at a time. Bait or jigs as fast as you get your line in the water you had a MONSTER Blue. It was like fishing in JURASSIC PARK.

August 29, 2013

EXCELLENT Bluefishing last night, everyone was limited out by midnight. Last night the fish were 3 to 6lbs and they were all caught on bait.

Today Bluefishing was good with the MONSTER Blues in the 10 to 19lb range. The ocean was a little bouncy this morning and we were able to get some shots at the MONSTER Blues on jigs. Around mid morning I put the anchor in and we were able to pick away at the MONSTER fish on bait. Later in the afternoon the wind backed off and we were able to get some very good shots at MONSTER Blues on jigs.

August 28, 2013

Very good Bluefishing today and last night. Today we caught the 3 to 5lb fish in the morning and when that slowed down I decided to take a ride and a shot at the MONSTER Blues. I found them and they were hungry. In an hour of fishing some customers had as many as 10 of these 12 to 18lb fish. In was complete mayhem on the deck with 10 to 12 fish on at a time. Several customers had their limits. All the fish were caught on jigs.

Last night the fishing was very very good on the 3 to 6lb Blues. Everyone on board was limited out. All the fish were caught on bait.

August 27, 2013

Good Bluefishing today. The fish ranged in size from 4 to 6lbs and several customers had their limits. Our pool winner was Rick Slocum from Philly. Most of the fish were caught on jigs.

August 26, 2013

Decent fishing today with the 3 to 5lb Blues. Very windy today therefore couldn't get to where the MONSTER fish live but ok fishing none the less. When the conditions are right the big fish will bite.

August 25, 2013

We had some shots at the MONSTER Blues, 12 to 18lbs, this morning when the fish were all over the top. Once they went down we picked at the 3 to 5lb for a while and then we found some more MONSTER Blues in the afternoon and were able to pick a few more. All the Blues were caught on jigs.

August 24, 2013

Good Bluefishing for MONSTER Blues today. Things started out a little slow because we had a 20 knot northeast wind for the first couple of hours but then the wind laid out and the MONSTER Blues started to bite. Most of the fish were caught on jigs but we were able to catch some on bait. Folks I am talking about really big Blues, these fish are 10 to 18lbs.

Last night Capt Jim reported very good fishing for mixed size fish, with many limit catches. All the fish last night were caught on bait.

August 23, 2013

Wednesday & Thursday nights Bluefishing was very good. Wednesday night was all 10 to 18lb fish on bait and Thursday night was mixed fish from 2 to 10lbs. Most of the night fish are being caught on bait.

Thursday we started out by attemping to catch the big fish but they would not bite so we changed locations and picked at the smaller fish.

Today we had decent fishing with the smaller fish on jigs with some larger ones mixed in. During the day all the fish are being caught on jigs.

August 21, 2013

Capt Jim had the Golden Eagle out today and he reported very good fishing for BIG BLUES in the 10 to 18lb range. He caught them early in the day, then had a few drifts of 4 to 5lb fish and then had the bigger fish again in the afternoon. There were several limit catches of these monster Blues. All the fish were caught on jigs.

Last night fishing was good, we spent some time fishing for the 10 to 18lb fish and caught some of them but it slowed down after a while so we finished the night catching the smaller fish. We had many limit catches. The  big fish were caught on bait and the smaller ones on jigs.

It looks like a big body of the larger fish are moving into the area and I suspect the fishing for these monsters will continue to get better & better.

August 20, 2013

Last night Bluefishing was EXCELLENT - everyone limited out and was in catch & release mode by 10:30pm.

Today Bluefishing was good, we had some shots at the smaller fish early in the day and then we went to look for some bigger fish and were able to catch a dozen or so 10 to 15lb fish but it wasn't good enought to stay with so we went back and caught the smaller fish at the end of the day. All the fish were caught on jigs.

August 19, 2013

Very good Bluefishing last night - everyone had limit catches and were in catch & release mode by midnight.

Today Bluefishing is very good with some Bonita mixed in and some nice Fluke.

All the fish both day & night are being caught on jigs.

The weather for the next several days looks good so come on down and enjoy some of this great fishing with some family & friends.

August 18, 2013

A fair day of Bluefishing today. If you worked at it you caught your limit plus more. All the fish were on jigs.

Last night the fish were the 2 to 5lb fish and much the same as the day. If you worked at it all night you had your limit plus. Last night the fish were caught on jigs & bait.

August 17, 2013

Bluefishing was ok today. We had a lot of boat traffic and very little drift which made it very hard to catch the fish but we were able to put together an ok catch. All the fish were caught on jigs.

Last night Capt Jim reported the fishing was fair to good.

August 16, 2013

Bluefishing was good again today although not up to the standards we have been used to, but I believe that it was due to a lack of drift. Once we got a little wind in the afternoon fishing picked up. All the fish were caught on jigs and we had several Bonita mixed in.

Last night fishing was good. Capt Jim looked for the big fish but he was only able to catch a few 12lber's and had to settle for a very good catch of the smaller fish.

August 15, 2013

Last night after catching the smaller Blues for a while I took a chance and made a 12 mile run trying to find the big fish. Well it worked out very well, we were able to pick at the 10 to 15lb fish for the rest of the night. Maybe this is the start of the big Blues - we will find out more tonite. The smaller fish were on jigs, the big fish on bait.

Today Capt Jim is on the boat and he is catching the smaller fish very good with some Bonita mixed in. Limits all around the boat and all the fish being caught on jigs.

August 14, 2013

Good Bluefishing today along with a couple of Bonita. The drift was a little quick so we had to anchor but the Bluefishing was good. Many had their limits with a high hook of over 80 fish. All the fish were caught on jigs

August 13, 2013

EXCELLENT EXCELLENT fishing last night. Everyone was limited out early and was in catch & release mode. All the fish were caught on jigs.

Now is the time to come if you want to get in on some of this great action.

August 12, 2013

Well the Bluefishing bounced right back last night and today once the boat traffic eased. Both last night & today OUTSTANDING fishing, complete boat limits and everyone in catch & release mode. You could catch as many as you wanted. All the fish were caught on jigs.

Some of our great customers tried their hand at Fluking after they had all the Blues they wanted and they ended up with about a dozen keepers and 40 shorts. This all happened while the rest of the customers were still Bluefishing.

After some showers tomorrow the weather for the rest of the week looks fantastic some come on down and try some of this fishing.

August 11, 2013

The fishing on Saturday was a little off compared to what it had been. You really had to work to catch them and several customers had their limits. I think a lot of it was due to the boat traffic & lack of drift.

Today the fishing early in the day was very good but as more & more traffic came into the area and the wind died out which gave us no drift the fishing slowed down. With that said it was still a good day of fishing with many with their limits and in catch & release mode. All the fish were caught on jigs.

Friday night the fishing was good and Saturday night the fishing was just a pick. Again the weekend boat traffic hurt the fishing.

August 9, 2013

Another day of very good Bluefishing. The ocean was a little bumpy this morning but the Blues were biting very well. All the fish were caught on jigs.

Last night Capt Jim reported very good Bluefishing with limit catches around the boat and everyone in catch & release mode.

August 8, 2013

Another outstanding day of Bluefishing today and some BONITA showed up to spice up the catch. All the fish you wanted, limits all around the boat. All the fish were caught on jigs.

August 7, 2013

Outstanding Bluefishing again today. All the fish you wanted with several customers having their limit by the second drift. Th entire boat was in catch & release mode early in the day. All the fish were caught on jigs. Yesterday fishing was good also.

The Night fishing has bee good the past several nights.

We took last night off from fishing to put a new set of propellers on the boat and what a difference it made - new cruise speed is 16 to 17 knots with a top end of over 19 knots. It means faster trips to & from the fishing grounds and more fishing time.

August 6, 2013

Bluefishing was very good on Monday night with limit catches around the boat.

August 5, 2013

EXCELLENT Bluefishing today. We had fish on from the time the lines hit the water until it was time to go home. Limit catches all around the boat and most customers in catch & release mode early in the day. All the fish were caught on jigs.

August 4, 2013

Another ggod day of Bluefishing. You had to work at it little and keep your jig moving because we had very little drift today but the fishing was good.

Friday night the fishing was very good and last night it was decent also.

August 3, 2013

Another god day of Bluefishing. Not quite up to the standards of the past week but still good. I think that had a lot to do with the amount of boat traffic. Many limit catches and all the fish were caught on jigs.

August 2, 2013

Much of the same thing - another EXCELLENT day with the smaller Blues. All you want and all being caught on jigs

August 1, 2013

Excellent Bluefishing again today with the smaller Blues. All you want and all being caught on jigs.

Last night the Bluefishing was good with the smaller Blues.

July 31, 2013

Another EXCELLENT day of Bluefishing with the smaller Blues. The same as the past week plus - all the fish you want, limit catches - all the fish being caught on jigs. The weather looks great and the fishing is great so now is the time to come.

July 30, 2013

Another EXCELLENT day of Bluefishing with the smaller Blues. All you wanted and al the fish were caught on jigs.

The weather looks great for the next few days so now is the time to come catch these fish and enjoy a great day on the ocean.

July 29. 2013

Sunday & today were two more very good days of Bluefishing with the smaller Blues. All the fish you wanted and everyone catching there limit plus being in catch & release mode. All the fish were caught on jigs.

Saturday night we were able to catch the small Blues for a while and then went to look for the bigger fish but they were not to be found.

July 27, 2013

Another day of good fishing with the smaller Blues. Several limit catches with a high hook of over 60 fish. Today you had to work a little to catch them. All the fish were caught on jigs.

Last night fishing was slow but they were able to catch the smaller Blues for a while before it turned off around 11:00pm.

July 26, 2013

The past two days have been two more EXCELLENT days of Bluefishing with the smaller Blues. All you want with limit catches around the boat. All the fish are being caught on jigs

July 24, 2013

Another EXCELLENT day of Bluefishing today with the small Blues. Really the same as the past few days with limit catches being the norm and most being in catch release mode by 10:30am. All the fish were caught on jigs.

July 23, 2013

Another EXCELLENT day of Bluefishing today with the small Blues. Everyone was in catch & release mode by 10:30am and some customers had over 60 fish. All the fish were caught on jigs and again a very short boat ride.

July 22, 2013

Excellent Bluefishing today with the small Blues. Almost the entire boat was limited out and most customers were in catch & release mode by 10:30am. All the fish were caught on jigs and it is only a 20 minute boat ride to catch the fish.

Unforuntately I can not  say the same thing about last night's fishing which was very slow.

July 21, 2013

We had a good day of Bluefishing today. The fish were the smaller fish but plenty to go around. All the fish were caught on jigs and we had many limit catches.

Last night the fishing was slow with just a few fish caught.

Like I said yesterday there are a lot of fish around and as we start to come down off the moon I believe they will settle in and bite on a consistent basis.

July 20, 2013

The Bluefishing the past few days & nights has been very up & down. Very good fishing Thursday, very slow fishing on Friday and a pick today all on jigs. Same with the nights very good Thursday night and very slow Friday night.

I believe there are a lot of fish around in different areas but until we get past the full moon which is in a day we are going to see inconsistent fishing, but once we get past the mon I think the fish will settle in.

July 18, 2013

Bluefishing was very good again today. The fish were caught on both jigs & bait and ranged in size from 8 to 14lbs.

To recap the past week we had very good night fishing for 4 of the past 5 nights (Wednesday night was slow) and we had very good day fishing for 3 of the past 4 days (Wednesday was slow). The Bluefishing is definetily getting better and better.

July 16, 2013

We had VERY VERY GOOD Bluefishing both today and last night. Today the fishing started out as a pick and kept building & building and for the last hour you got a bite as fast as you could get your line in the water. Everyone had as many Big Blues as they wanted with many limit catches. Most of the fish were caught on bait, some on jigs and were in the 10 to 14lb range.

Last night the fishing was excellent with limit catches being the norm. The fish were in the 9 to 14lb range and were all caught on bait.

Folks the weather for the next several days looks great and NOW is the time to come if you want to catch some of these Big Blues.

July 15, 2013

Yesterday's Bluefishing was a little slow - some Blues but not enough. It seems the fishing are starting to get here and some days the bite is good & others days are a pick or slow, but it is starting.

Last night Bluefishing was very good. Big Blues from 8 to 12lbs - all you wanted. That is two straight nights that the fishing was good. So for all you night fishermen who have been waiting all season for this, it is time to go fishing for them.

July 14, 2013

Last night the Bluefish finally decided to bite. We were able to bang away at the Blues all night. The fish were in the 8 to 12lb range. We fished an area much closer than we were last week.

We are headed back to the same area today to see if we can duplicate the results.

Will update this afternoon.

July 13, 2013

Let me recap the past few days; Thursday we did not sail due to the weather, Friday we sailed and went out to the east to try and find the Blues - it was very nasty out there and we got our butts kicked for a handful of Big Blues. Today well the sharks bit good but not the Blues and we ended up on some rock piles catching some Sea Bass & Ling.

Tomorrow I plan on going back out to the east to try to find the Blues again, it worked a few days and a few days it didn't but we are not giving up. So come down and join us and hopefully we can find the things again.

July 10, 2013

Capt Jim Elliott had the Golden Eagle out today, he is not in yet, but he called and reported very good Bluefishing today. Several customers had limit catches of 8 to 14lb Blues. Most of the fish were caught on bait. Yes he had to back out to east aways to catch them but it was well worth the ride.

Folks it looks like we are finally getting into some of the fishing we have been waiting for, so NOW is the time to come.

July 9, 2013

Yesterday I told we were going to look for the body of fish to the east. Today we went and we found them. After looking over 30 plus miles of ocean we we were able to locate the fish. We were able to bang away at the Big Blues today, I think fishing would have been better if we didn't have current running into the wind most of the day, but none the less we caught the fish.

Now that we know where they are I think tomorrow's fishing will be even better. Most of the fish were caught on bait and were 8 to 12lbs.

Come on down tomorrow and get in on this fishing.

July 8, 2013

Another good catch of Sea Bass, Ling & Fluke today.

There are reports of a big body of Blues within striking distance and I plan on going out to look for them the next couple of days, so if you want to help me try to catch them, than jump aboard  the next few days and nights.

July 7, 2013

We had a very good catch of fish today, Sea Bass, Fluke, Ling, Winter Flounder, Blackfish & Whiting. The only thing missing was a few Blues. Highhook had over 40 fish. Like I said yesterday we will try everyday to fill you coolers up with fish and have an enjoyable day in the ocean, which today was.

Last night Capt. Jim was able to catch a few Blues but not enough.

July 6, 2013

Folks the Bluefishing has been slow for the past several days. Until the Blues decide they want to bite, we will spend some time in the morning looking around  if they bite great, if not we will fish for Fluke, Sea Bass & Ling. Our goal is to catch you some fish and have you enjoy the day in the ocean

The past several trips we have had  decent Fluke & Sea Bass fishing, good Ling fishing and have caught some Whiting & Cod fish. They are all gooding tasting fish, fun to catch & fill the coolers up.

July 1, 2013

Another tough day of fishing on all fronts. Still had the southeast swell, fog and rain most of the day. The good news is after tomorrow we are suppose to get rid of this swell and rain and get back to normal July conditions, which I expect will improve the fishing.

WE WILL NOT BE SAILING TONITE - SUNDAY NIGHT - DUE TO THE WEATHER

June 30, 2013

A very tough day of fishing on all fronts. I think the large southeast swell had a lot to do with it.

Tomorrow is another day and we will try again.

WE WILL NOT BE SAILING TONITE - SUNDAY NIGHT - DUE TO THE WEATHER

June 29, 2013

Fishing was a little slower than it has been, we caught a few blues, some keeper Fluke and some short Fluke. But I 'll tell you what was a lot better than the weatherman said and that was the weather; mid 80's, sunny and light winds. It was a beautiful day on the ocean.

June 27, 2013

Same fishing as the past two days. We were able to pick at the Blues in the morning along with 1 keeper Striper & 1 short Striper, all on jigs.

In the afternoon we caught some keeper Fluke & Sea Bass and some short Fluke.  It was an enjoyable day of fishing and everyone ended up with a mixed bag of fish.

It seems like there are more fish moving into the area and word has it that there is a very large body of Blues south of us that I would expect will be here early next week.

June 26, 2013

Capt Jim has the Golden Eagle again today and mid day he reported that he is picking at the Blues and has caught 2 Stripers so far. All the fish are on jigs.

I will update the report after he gets back to the dock.

June 25, 2013

Bluefishing improved today. Capt Jim had the Golden Eagle today and he reported that he was able to pick at the Blues, all on jigs. Highhook at 6 Blues. He also had 20 keeper Fluke along with many shorts

June 24, 2013

While fishing remained slow the past day & night there is some encouraging news. It seems like some more bodies of fish are moving into the area and I expect that as we get away from this full moon the action with the Blues will begin to pick up.

The weather for the week is looking great so now is the time to come enjoy a wonderful day on the ocean.

June 22, 2013

Bluefishing was slow again last night & today. We did have some Sea Bass & Fluke today and Sea Bass & Ling last night.

June 21, 2013

The Bluefishing continues to be slow the past couple of days. Aside from a couple of 2lb fish here or there that is it.  We do see some fish & we see some Stripers but they are next to impossible to catch.

On the good side the weather has been great the past few days and looks like it will continue that way for the foreseeable future so even if the fishing is slow it is still a great day in the ocean.

June 19, 2013

Bluefishing was slow again today, however we did see some great Striped Bass readings and hear some charter boats catching some but we could not get one in the boat. After a while I decided to try some bottom fishing so our customers could go home with some fish. We did catch some Sea Bass, Ling, Whiting and Fluke.

Until things change with the Bluefishing & Striped Bass fishing we will try to catch them in the morning, if they bite we will stay with it, but if they are not biting we will try bottom fishing in the afternoon. Fluke, Sea Bass, Ling & Cod Fish so you can go home with something in your coolers.

The weather for the next several days looks great so come on down and enjoy a day in the ocean catching a mixed bag of fish.

June 18, 2013

The past couple of days the Bluefishing has been a challenge to say the least. Saturday night & Sunday it looked like we were going to start to catch some but Monday & Tuesday were not good.

We will keep trying  and maybe tomorrow is the day.

June 16, 2013

Fishing improved last night and today over the past few days & nights but it still needs to get better.

Last night Capt Jim was able to pick at Blues up to 12lbs, all on bait.

Today we were able to jig some of the 2 to 4lb bluefish. But there is room for improvement both day & night.

June 15, 2013

An absolute beautiful day in the ocean, the only problem was the fish did not cooperate. It was slow fishing today. Saw plenty of fish but they just did not want to bite.

Last night was pretty much the same, great weather but slow fishing. Hopefully tonight & tomorrow are better.

June 14, 2013

The weather is clearing for the weekend and we will be fishing again starting tonite - Friday night and every day & night going forward.

I understand from a couple of commercial fishermen that were out yesterday that another body of fish has moved in to the area - hopefully they will be hungry now that this weather has pasted and we can get back to fishing.

June 12, 2013

It was a tough day of Bluefishing. We saw a lot of bait & fish but they would not cooperate. We tried drifting & jigging, anchoring & chumming, drifting & chumming but nothing worked.

Tomorrow's (Thursday's) weather does not look very good, so if you are planning on fishing  you might want to pick another day. The forecast says it will clear out by Friday morning so we will be back at it on Friday.

June 11, 2013

Not the best day of fishing today folks. We did have some Bluefish but not enough. The fish we did catch were in the 10 to 12lb class.

We will be back at it again tomorrow.

June 10, 2013

We have been having outstanding Bluefishing the past 10 days or so but today the fish did not bite. There was pleny of them around but they seemed to have lock jaw. Maybe it was the weather, I don't know. Tomorrow is another day and we will see what happens but I expect that the fishing will be fine.

June 9, 2013

The Bluefish really turned on last night & today. Today we had outstanding fishing on big fish ranging in size from 10 to 14lbs. All the fish during the day were caught on jigs. Most customers had there limits and more. By noon most of our customers could barley lift their arms from battling these monster Blues.

Last night Capt Jim reported good Bluefishing on 10 to 14lb Blues. All the fish at night were caught on bait.

Today's fishing was 10 miles from were Capt Jim fished last night so there seems to be a very large body of fish that moved in once Friday's storm went by.

The weather for this week looks good so come on down and get in on some of this fantastic fishing.

June 6, 2013

We continue to have very good Bluefishing. Just like the past week all the fish were caught on jigs and were in the 2 to 5lb range. Limit catches or more are becoming normal and I expect that the fishing will continue to be good.

Capt Jim Elliott had the boat out last night and he reported that he was picking at the big Blues until 11:30 when the fishing turned off. He looked in several other areas but only caught a few more fish. Not  great fishing but certainly a respectable catch. All the fish at night are being caught on bait.

If you are planning on coming fishing tomorrow Friday I don't think the weather is going to cooperate so you may want to pick another day. But we will be there if you want to go.

June 5, 2013

Excellent Bluefishing today. Everyone limited out with some customers having between 40 & 50 fish a person. All the fish were caught on jigs and most of the fish were in the 2 to 5lb range.

June 4, 2013

A very good day of Bluefishing and a beautiful day in the ocean. We had many limit catches with up to 30 fish a person. All the fish were caught on jigs. Most of the fish were in the 2 to 5lb range with a couple of fish in the 8 to 9lb range.

The weather for the next few days is looking good so come down and get in on some of this very good Bluefishing.

We are now sailing daily at 7:30am and every night at 7:30pm.

June 2, 2013

Bluefishing was decent again today. Not as good as the past few days but several customers had limit catches. Most of the fish were in the 2 to 5lb range with a few in the 8 to 9lb range. All the fish were caught on jigs.

With the strong south wind we had last night and today the water temperature cooled down about 6 degrees and I think that is the reason the fish backed off a little. Once this front passes by tonight & tomorrow morning we are suppose to get some North & Northwest winds which should help things out.

Last night it was very tough fishing for the entire Bluefish fleet. Due to the wind we had to anchor and at this time of the year the drift is usually much better. Once you put some chum in the water on the anchor in early June the dogfish become a real problem.

Starting Wednesday night we will be sailing every night for Blues at 7:30pm

If you planning on coming fishing tomorrow (Monday) you might want to hold off for a day because tomorrow's weather forecast does not look very good until later in the day.

June 1, 2013

Another good day of Bluefishing mostly 2 to 5lb fish but there also a few of 8 to 10lb fish mixed in. All today's fishing was on jigs.

It seems that we are starting to get some consistent fishing Bluefishing over the past 4 or 5 days and I expect that it will continue.

The weather for the next week longs good so now is the time to come fishing.

May 31, 2013

2:00pm UPDATE

Capt Jim says he is on his way home and had very good Bluefishing today. Customers had upwards of 30 fish a person and everyone was limited out - All the fish were caught on jigs.

The weather is looking good for the next several days & nights so come on down and enjoy some of this early summer Bluefishing

Well folks tried to get an early report up yesterday a couple of times but due to technical issues it didn't post.

Anyway Capt Jim had the boat out yesterday, he caught some live bait and used it to catch a 30lb Striper and we he couldn't entice another Striper to bite he decided to go Bluefishing. The Bluefishing was pretty good with all the fish being caught on jigs.

Capt Jim is out again today and so far the Bluefish are starting to bite. I will update you more on this later.

We will be Nite Bluefishing on Friday& Saturday nights May 31 & June1. Last week we started the nite schedule and we were able to pick at the Blues all night. The night fishing will keep getting better as the weather warms up.

May 29, 2013

Yesterday we were able pick at 8 to 12lb Blues on bait and jigs, but the Striper front was quiet. Today the weather kept us at the dock but it looks like we are going to have sunny warm days from this afternoon well into next week. I think that we will put more effort into Bluefishing over the next few days untill something changes on the Striper front.

We will be Nite Bluefishing on Friday& Saturday nights May 31 & June1. Last week we started the nite schedule and we were able to pick at the Blues all night. The night fishing will keep getting better as the weather warms up.

May 27, 2013

Today we had to take a 30 mile run to catch some Blues on jigs. We were able to pick at them in the morning but the afternoon was slow. i know it was a long ways but the boats that it did not make the run caught nothing. The new engines we put in over the winter gave us the speed to make the run. The Striper front was very quiet today, I suspect that was due to all the boat traffic. I expect that we will give the "live lining" a good effort tomorrow.

Saturday the wind was still blowing 30 knots and the fishing conditions were tough but we saw a lot of bass and we did boat a 40lb pool winner.

Capt jim Elliott reported that last night's Bluefishing was a sucess. The wind  stopped blowing and he was able to drift and pick at the larger Blues all night.

May 25, 2013

The past couple of days fishing conditions have been very tough 30 knot northwest winds & rain. Today we were able to pick at the Blues all on jigs. The drift was very fast and we kept having to jump ahead of the fish and wait for them to get to us due to the fast drift. The bass were almost impossible to catch with the live bunker because the drift was just too fast.

The weather for tomorrow and Monday Memorial Day looks much better so I expect the fishing will get easier.

We cancelled Friday & Saturday nights trips because of the wind.

We will be sailing on Sunday Night May 26 at 7:30pm. I know Capt Jim Elliott can not wait to get the Nite fishing started so come on down and join him tomorrow night

May 23, 2013

Didn't try to go this morning due to the weather. However, the weatherman says all this weather should clear out of here by late tonight and we are planning on catching some more of these big bass on Friday. Bring a snag pole with to you if you got one to help snag the live bunker. We will see you tomorrow.

We will be starting nite Bluefishing on Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights May 24, 25 & 26.

May 22, 2013

We caught some bass today but not as good as yesterday. With that said we did have 3 fish over 30lbs with the pool winner being 33lbs. All the fish were caught on live bunker. Actually saw more fish on top and more fish readings than we saw yesterday but they didn't bite as well. Plenty of bunker up & down the beach and they were easy to catch.

We will be starting nite Bluefishing on Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights May 24, 25 & 26.

May 21, 2013

The Striper fishing started to break open today. We had over 20 keeper bass to 39lbs and several fish over 30lbs. Several customers had their limits and several first time Striper customers caught some. We caught them on Ccroc's and live bunker. We saw excellent fish readings, bait all over and the fish were on top.

I believe these fish will stay put  for a while but we will see what tomorrow brings. The  weather for tomorrow and Friday looks good but Thursday's weather looks iffy, so if you on planning on coming I would recommend you be here tomorrow or Friday.

We will be starting nite Bluefishing on Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights May 24, 25 & 26.

May 20, 2013

Today we tried "live lining" bunkers in the fog. Some large Blues ate our bunkers but the Stripers were another story. We saw them on top and we saw excellent fish readings but they just did not want to chew. We will try again tomorrow.

We will be staring nite Bluefishing on Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights May 24, 25 & 26.

May 19, 2013

On Saturday we took a ride and it worked out - we had decent bluefishing with 2 to 4 lb blues and a couple of Stripers. Several customers had there limits of blues. All the fishing was on jigs.

The Saturday afternoon trip did not work out as well as the morning trip - live bunkers were hard to come by and Stripers were impossible to catch. I know I have said this before but there was plenty of fish readings and bird life but the Stripers just didn't want to cooperate.

Today Capt Jim Elliott has the boat out and as of late this morning he reports that he is catching the 2 to 4 lb blues and has seen some Stripers breaking water. Who knows maybe they will turn on this afternoon. All the action has been on jigs so far today

The weather for the week looks warmer than last week so come on down and get it on some fo this early season bluefish action.

We will be staring nite Bluefishing on Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights May 24, 25 & 26.

May 17, 2013

Well folks I had yesterday's report up but it seemed to disappear like the past week's reports.

It was another tough day with the bass, only a few blues in the 10 to 12lb range. We see plenty of fish readings & bait and fish on top but they just do not want to bite.

With more & more blues moving in I intend to spend some time trying to catch them tomorrow, unless the bass want to cooperate.

Saturday afternoon we have a special striper trip from 4:00pm to 9:00pm in addition to our morning trip.  If you want to come make your reservations.

May 9, 2013

The Striper fishing was not stellar today. Capt Jim had the Golden Eagle out today and said he had a few bass and a few bluefish. The good news is the wind has finally changed direction and is suppose to be westerly over the next few days, that generally means the fishing will improve, We'll see tomorrow.

We did not sail on Wednesday due to the weather and Tuesday's fishing was slow also.

May 6, 2013

Striper was off again today. We had a handful of bass and a couple of dozen bluefish. Saw plenty of bunkers and bass crashing thru them and plenty of striper readings but the fish did not want to cooperate. We will try again tomorrow.

May 5, 2013

Striper fishing improved compared to yesterday. We were able to pick at the bass in the morning and late in the afternoon. The pool winner was 24lbs. We also saw a few dozen small bluefish come over the rail. There were plenty of readings and bait today and I expect that the fishing will pick up this week when there is a lot less boat traffic.

May 4, 2013

Striper fishing was off today. It has been decent to excellent all week but today they just didn't bite like they have been. Maybe it was the boat traffic or just the wrong tide conditions. We did pick a handful of bass and 40 or 50 bluefish.

Tomorrow is another day and a fresh start.

May 3, 2013

We really had to work at catching the bass today.  Some drifts you caught them and some drifts you didn't, but one thing for sure if you didn't keep cranking your jig you couldn't catch one. We saw a lot of bunkers and the Stripers splashing in them but you had to work at it. We did have some limit catches with the pool winner going 23lbs.

May 2, 2013

The Striper fishing was ok today. We had to do a lot of driving around the ocean but in the end we were able to catch some fish including several limits with the pool winner being 25lbs. There were miles and miles of bunker on the beach which is a good sign for  the spring Striper run. All the fish were caught on jigs today but I bet "live lining" is not far away.

May 1, 2013

There was a good Striper bite today, but unfortunately we were not around at the time. here is what happened; the Shark River railroad bridge had a malfunction this morning which delayed all the Belmar fishing boats from getting out until 9:30am (2 hrs later than normal). There were plenty of fish to catch early this morning but we were sitting at the dock. By the time we got fishing the Striper fishing was just a pick. With that said we did have several customers with limit catches plus bonus fish but we had room for a lot more fish.

April 30, 2013

Striper limits including bonus fish plus some shorts for everyone. We had some very good bass fishing today, we had a boat limit plus shorts and released several keepers.

There seems to be more & more fishing moving into the area and now is the time to come Striper fishing.

April 28, 2013

We started the day baiting fishing for the bass and were catching some but the current was to strong and the tangles were bad so we put the jigs on and went jig fishing. We were able to pick at the bass on jigs most of the day and by the end it was ok with some limit catches and bass up to 20lbs. Many times we saw fish on top and mutiple fish follow the jigs up.

There seems to be more & more fish moving into the area and I only expect the fishing to get better.

April 27, 2013

The Stripers were biting again today.  Highhook had 9 bass. The fish were on the bottom this morning and later in the afternoon they were on top with good bird life on them. I believe the Striper run is starting and NOW is the time to come Striper fishing.

April 26, 2013

We some good Striper fishing today. Everyone had at least one keeper and a few people had limits, to go along with 1 to 4 shorts per person. The weather looks good for the weekend and the fishing looks like it is starting to turn on. It's time to come fishing.

April 25, 2013

We have not be out for the past few days due to the weather, but the weather for the next several days looks great and we will be sailing at 7:30am for Stripers.

We started to see plenty of bass over the weekend although they were hard to catch. But now that we are off the full moon I think the fish are ready to start to trun on.

April 21, 2013

Striper fishing was slow again today although we did see more bass than we saw yesterday. I think once Monday & Tuesday's Noreaster gets by us and  the wind shifts to the Northwest by mid-week these bass will start to turn on.

We do not plan on fishing Monday or Tuesday due the the 20 to 30k northeast winds and the 6 to 8 seas that the weatherman is predicting. We will be back at it on Wednesday.

April 20, 2013

The GOLDEN EAGLE made her first fishing trip of the Striper season today. I can say the new engines were much faster and performed great. All the other improvements we made to the boat were welcomed by our customers. The only down side of the day was the Striper fishing , it was slow. We saw plenty of bait, bird life and fish readings, we even tried live linning some bunkers but the fish did not want to cooperate.

Tomorrow is another day, we are sailing daily for Stripers at 7:30am.

April 17, 2013

The GOLDEN EAGLE is back in her dock in Belmar Marina and ready to start fishing on Saturday, April 20, 2013 for Stripers. The boat looks great and the new engines  make a big difference in her speed.

It seems the Stripers are starting to show themselves along the beach but they are a little hard to catch. But any day now I would expect them to turn on. I look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

We will be sailing everyday for Stripers from April 20th on.

April 10, 2013

Folks the newly renovated and repowered GOLDEN EAGLE is in the water and will be ready to fish late next week. As I said before  we will be much faster and be able to get you to the fishing grounds much quicker.

For all our great customers to start the season, we have the following offer: puchase 2  trips for a price of $120.00 and we will give you a third trip FREE.

To take advantage of this offer please contact us via e-mail or phone and we willl procees your order. Offer expires April 16, 2013

April 4, 2013

Folks, we are getting close to being ready to fish. The new engines are in, we are much much faster. The new paint job looks great and  we will ready shortly.

Things seem to be quiet on the fishing front, the water is starting to warm up but we need another  5 degrees in water temperature for the Striper fishing to really start and at this time of year that will take another 10 days or so.

I will keep you updated but it will not be long now.

March 18, 2013

Folks we have spent the past five weeks repowering the Golden Eagle.

The new John Deere engines are in and we are getting closer to being done, another couple of weeks. With our new enigines we will much faster than we have been in past years and much more fuel efficient.

We have also been making some other changes to the Golden Eagle to make things more comfortable for our customers as well as giving "her" a good paint job.

We expect to be ready to fish in early April - hopefully the  fish will cooperate.  I will update you in a few days on the progress.

I look forward to seeing all of you this season.

Jan 25, 2013

Folks we have been waiting and waiting for the Mackeral to show up and to date they have not. We are going to end our season at this point and we will be going to dry dock soon to get all of our maintenance & painting done and be ready to go fishing in March. We want to thank everyone for fishing with us this past season and we look forward to a great 2013 season. As soon as we are ready to go fishing it will be on the web site. See you in a few weeks.

Jan 13, 2013

Mackerel fishing was slow again this weekend. We are going give the Mackerel fishing a break for the next few days and try again Saturday & Sunday, January 19 & 20. Hopefully the fish will start to school up by then and fishing will improve.

Jan 8, 2013

It was a beautiful day in the ocean today and Mackerel fishing improved. The fishing is still not as good as it needs to be but it was much better than it was over the weekend and I expect that with the nice weather we are expecting over the next several days it will continue to get better each day.We are sailing every day at 7:00am. See you on board.

Jan 5, 2013

Capt Jim Elliott had the Golden Eagle out today and reported he drove over a lot of ocean today looking for Mackerel. He did catch a few Mackerel today along with a good amount of Herring but fishing in general was slow. We will be at it again tomorrow and hopefully the Mackerel will be around in larger numbers.

Dec 31, 2012

We had a few days off due to the strong northwest winds, but its seems like these winds has had the desired effect. The water has cleared up and several of the commerical boats that were out today reported they caught some mackerel and herring.

We are taking tomorrow off (New Years's Day) but will be back to Mackerel fishing on Wednesday January 2, 2013. Happy New Year to everyone and see you later this week.

Dec 29, 2012

Capt Jim had the Golden Eagle out Mackerel fishing today and he reported that fishing was slow. He saw a lot of fish readings but the fish didn't want to cooperate. He believes that the dirty water and the stirred up bottom from Thursday northeast blow and all the rain had an effect on the fishing. We are suppose to get a "gale force" northwest wind late tonite and tomorrow which wil keep us at the dock but it should help settle the ocean down and  turn the fish on. So we will be back to fishing on Monday at 7:00am. Remember our Mackerel trips leave the dock at 7:00am daily

Dec 27, 2012

It's time to start Mackerel fishing - Capt. Jim Elliott says the Mackerel are ready and we will be fishing for them starting at 7:00am Saturday December 29. Mackerel trips are all day trips - we leave at 7:00am and return around 4:00pm.

The weather on Saturday looks good enough to kick the season off.

Dec 15, 2012

Capt Jim had the Golden Eagle out for yesterday's STRIPERTHON.  He decided to fish to the south since not much has been going on to the north. He said there were plenty of fish readings but Striper fishing was slow. We ended up with a half dozen keepers and some shorts.

Based on the way fishing has been recently we have decided to end the Striper season. So Sunday December 16 will be our last Striper trip of the fall season. I want to thank all of our very good Striper customers for your support this season and we look forward to a great spring season.

If we hear of anything going on with the bass we will put a special trip on the calendar for next weekend.

We expect to start Mackerel fishing daily on the Friday after Christmas, December 28, 2012. Our Mackerel trips will leave the dock at 7:00am and return between 3:30 to 4:00pm.

Dec 12, 2012

Ok striper fishing today, a lot of bird life and fish readings but the fish only bit ok. Plenty of shorts and a couple of keepers.

Remember Friday is a STRIPERTHON day we leave the dock at 6:00am

On a different note we did catch a couple of mackerel and herring. It is begining to look like the mackerel fishery is only a couple of weeks away. Stayed tuned for more on this as Capt Jim Elliott is ready to go as soon as we get a few more reports of confirmed fish.

Dec 9, 2012

Sorry that I haven't posted since Thursday but we had a technical issue with the web site (it only happens on Friday night when nobody is around). Friday's STRIPERTHON was good. We statred out catching very small shorts and we took a chance an made a 12 mi run to a new area - we found about 15 keepers there plus shorts  - at least these shorts were much larger. Once we got to slack tide we had to make another move and found some more keepers and shorts. All in all, several customers had their limits plus plenty of shorts.

On Saturday with a small crowd we caught about a dozen keepers and some shorts.

Sunday we did not sail due to the weather.

Dec 7, 2012

We started the day in the same area we have been fishing - a lot of action but all very small shorts. Took a shot at a new area about 12 mi away. Caught a dozen keepers plus more shorts (this time much larger shorts). At slack tide this area slowed and we took a shot at another new area, we caught several more keepers and plenty more shorts.

All in all, plenty of action with shorts and several customers had thier limits of keepers.

Dec 5, 2012

We were not out today but I understand from one of the charter boats that Striper fishing was very good today with a lot more keepers around. The weather for Friday & Saturday looks great so come on down and join us for this fall Striper run.

As the Holidays are upon us I would like to thank everyone for their support during the year and wish everyone a great Holiday season.

Dec 4, 2012

Striper fishing was not as good as it has been today. There were plenty of fish readings, all the bird life you wanted and plenty of bait around today but the fish did not bite like they had been the past 4 or 5 days. I think a lot it had to do with th southeast wind that was a lot strong then predicted. With that said we did catch a few keepers plus some shorts & bluefish, but just not enough. Tomorrow is another day and we will see what happens.

Dec 3, 2012

Today's STRIPERTHON produced some good bass fishing. Like Friday we had several very good drifts early and then the boat traffic knocked the fishing down to a pick until the afternoon. The keeper ratio was not great but there was plenty of action. High hook had his limit of bass including bonus fish plus 20 or so shorts. The pool winner was a nice 25lb bass.  We ended the day with over 400 shorts, 15 to 20 keepers and a couple of dozen bluefish.

Dec 2, 2012

Striper fishing was good today but the ratio of keepers to shots was not as good as it has been. Some people had their limits and everyone on board had somewhere between 2 to 15 shorts each. We also added a dozen or so bluefish to the mix.

Remember tomorrow is a STRIPERTHON  day we leave the dock at 6:00am. Getting to fishing fishing grounds at sun up made a big difference on Friday.

Nov 30, 2012

Very good Striper fishing today. Almost everyone had their limit including bonus fish, plue 4 to 12 shorts each and couple of bluefish each.

Folks if you wonder why people get up in the middle of the night to get to the dock by 6:00am for a STRIPERTHON today answered that question - the first 2 hours of fishing when we had the entire fishing grounds to ourselves was as good as it gets. During 3 drifts we were holding 4 to 8 bass on at a time. Once the boat traffic got on the fishing grounds we really had to work to catch them.

So remember Monday is another STRIPERTHON.

Nov 29, 2012

Folks we are not out today but the days we were out this week Striper fishing was good and I understand it is good again today. We have been waiting for month for these fish to turn on - so if you want to catch some now is the time to come.

Tomorrow, Friday is a STRIPERTHON trip - we leave the dock at 6:00am. Over the weekend we sail at our normal time - 7:30am

Nov 26, 2012

The Stripers showed up today. We had our Monday STRIPERTHON will a very small group of great customers. The day started out with us catching a bunch of short bass at the inlet, we then worked up the beach where we were able to pick some shorts and one keeper. We worked back down the beach in the afternoon and had several drifts were we caught several keepers and shorts. We ended with 1 limit catch and several other customers with a keeper each along with anywhere between 2 and 8 shorts per person. For good measure we added a handful of bluefish to the mix. All in all a pretty good day.

Nov 24

Fishing yesterday and today was slow, we caught some shorts and a few blues. Now that the wind has shifted into the northwest I am hopeful that it will improve the Striper fishing.

Nov 22

We sailed today with a small group of customers and a half day trip so everyone could get home for their turkey dinner.

We caught some keepers and some shorts. Plenty of fish readings today and I expect tomorrow's STRIPERTHON to yeild better results with the early departure time

Nov 20, 2012

We didn't sail on Monday due to a very nasty ocean. But Striper fishing & Blue fishing turned on today. It seems like a body of fish has moved into the area and hopefully they will stay around for a while. Let see what tomorrow brings, but today was an encouraging development.

We will have a special trip on Thanksgiving Day so everyone can get home in time for their turkey dinner. We will leave at 7:30am and return at 1:00pm.

Nov 18, 2012

Folks fishing has been inconsistent the past week. Some days the Stripers & Blues seem like they want to start to bite and other days the fishing is not good.

Yesterday it seems the Bass started to show themselves again. Tomorrow is another STRIPERTHON were we leave the dock at 6:00am - lets see if being there early makes a difference.

We will have a special trip on Thanksgiving Day so everyone can get home in time for their turkey dinner. We leave at 7:30am and return at 1:00pm and kids go for free.

Nov 16, 2012

Today's Striper fishing was not good. We covered a lot of ocean, saw fishing readings in many places and saw plenty of bait but the fish did not bite. Tomorrow is another day and hopefully the Stripers will cooperate.

On  separate note - Thursday, Thanksgiving day we will be running a special 7:30am to 1:00pm trip and kids go free. This get everyone home in time for Turkey day dinner.

Nov 14, 2012

Well folks today started out with great promise - as we cleared the inlet there were birds about 100ft in front of us - stopped the boat and put a dozen shorts and a couple keepers in the boat in about 10 min. Then the birds flew away and the fish swam away and we caught very little the rest of the day.  We will be back at it again tomorrow, hopefully the birds and fish will stay around a little longer.

Nov 12, 2012

Today was our first STRIPERTHON of the season. Fishing continued to improve but still needs to be better. We ended up with double digit keeper Stripers plus several shorts along with a bunch of bluefish. There is plenty of bait around and the water temperature is in the mid 50's which are ideal conditions for Stripers. I just think that the bottom needs to settle down more and the water clarity needs to improve. Each day the fishing has improved and the water clarity has improved. I expect these trends to continue over the next few days.

Nov 11, 2012

Fishing improved today over Saturday but it is going to some more improvement before it is back to normal. We did have some Stripers today along with some Blues but I am still looking for improvement. Tomorrow is a STRIPERTHON let see  what kind of early bite is all about.

Nov 10, 2012

The good news of the day was we out fishing on a beautiful November day after being tied to the dock for 14 days due to "Sandy" and her after effects. The not so good news was that fishing was slow today, the water was very murky and the drift was slow. As the day went on the water started to clear up and there were reports of fish starting to show up in an area about 20 miles from where we were fishing. I believe that it just took a day with boats spread out over 40 miles to locate these fish and I think the fishing will continue to improve from here.

Nov 9, 2012

WE ARE SAILING TOMORROW & EVERYDAY THEREAFTER FOR STRIPERS & BLUES AT 7:30AM. MONDAY'S & FRIDAY'S ARE STRIPERTHON DAYS WHEN WE LEAVE THE DOCK AT 6:00AM.

LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYONE ON BOARD

Nov 8, 2012

Folks we have one more thing to overcome before we get back to sailing every day and that will be accomplished tomorrow morning. I know I said we were going to start fishing tomorrow but that was based on getting a fuel truck into the marina today. But due to the weather yesterday the fuel was delayed until tomorrow.

Once we fuel we will be back to SAILING DAILY ON SATURDAY NOVEMBER 10 AT 7:30AM. STRIPERTHONS WILL RESUME ON MONDAY NOVEMBER 12. STRIPERTHONS ARE EVERY MONDAY & FRIDAY AND LEAVE THE DOCK AT 6:00AM.

We look forward to seeing you this weekend.

Nov 3, 2012

The Golden Eagle came through Hurricane Sandy without damage.  The same cannot be said for Belmar who has suffered extensive damage and power outages.  As a result we will not be sailing until Friday Nov 9th with our Striperthon resuming on Monday, Nov 12th.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who suffered losses and we thank you for your concern for us with your many calls.

Oct 27, 2012

Fishing for Stripers & Blues was fair to good today. We had several customers limit out on Striper including bonus fish but you really had to work for them. We caught plenty of blues to 15lbs. The Stripers were caught on jigs & poppers and the Blues were caught on jigs.

Oct 26, 2012

Fishing was not up to past few days standards. We read a lot of fish and saw fish on top but for some reason they didn't bite as well as they had been. Some drifts we were able to pick at the Stripers & Blues and other drifts were slow. A few customers limited out with the Bass and many others had a Striper, to go along with some bluefish. We will be back at it again tomorrow expecting bettter results.

Oct 25, 2012

Outstanding fishing for Stripers and Blues today. We started just outside the inlet and followed the fish around all day. Many limit catches of Bass to 32lbs and all the Blues you wanted in the 6 to 19lb range.

All the Bass were caught on jigs & poppers and the Blues were all caught on jigs.

Get down here tomorrow and get in on some of this outstanding fishing.

Oct 25, 2012 (mid day report)

Capt Jim has the Golden Eagle out again out today and as of noon he says bluefishing has been outstanding and he has a good catch of Stripers to 30lbs. He is now continuing to catch the Bass. Will put the full day report up later this afternoon.

Oct 24, 2012

Capt Jim Elliott had the Golden eagle out today and reported outstanding Striper fishing. The enitre boat was limited out including bonus fish with over 50 keepers on board to 30lbs. Bluefishing was also very good. All the fish were caught on jigs. Striper fishing is really startin to come alive and now is the time to come.

Oct 23, 2012

We fished inshore today and the fishing was outstanding. There was bird life and fishing readings over a 5 mile strech of ocean and the Stripers & Blues were all over the top. The entire boat was limited out with Blues and we had several Stiper limits including bonus fish. All the Blues were caught on jigs and ranged in size from 5 to 12lbs. The Stripers were caught on jigs & poppers and the pool winner was over 20lbs. Tomorrow's weather looks good and I would hope the fish have a repeat performance tomorrow.

Oct 22, 2012

We fished inshore again today, while we had some excellent drifts and caught a couple of Stripers up to 23lbs the fish were hard to keep up with. We had bird life and good fish readings but the fish were moving fast and didn't stay with us very long. Overall fishing was ok and we are looking forward to a better day tomorrow.

Oct 21, 2012

We fished inshore today and there was plenty of bird life and fish readings. At times the fishing was very good and other drifts we only picked a few fish. We did catch 2 keeper Stripers and 2 shorts. All the fish were caught on jigs. The pool winner was caught by David Crook, a nice 17lb Blue which just beat one of the Stripers.  The weather for the entire week looks great and the water temperature keeps dropping,  so come on down and get in on some of this fall fishing.

Oct 20, 2012

After a day at the dock on Friday due to the wind & rain, we were out in a beautiful ocean today and there were plenty of fish. Big blues to 17lbs mostly on jigs. There were several limit catches. Tomorrow the weather looks great for another great day  of fishing. Come join us.

Oct 18, 2012

We had a decent day of bluefishing today. We picked away at the fish everywhere we went, on the beach, on the edge of the mud hole and back on the beach. Most of the fish were caught on jigs and we were able to put a keeper bass in the boat along with a couple of shorts.

We have several days of northwest and/or west winds forecasted for Saturday thru early next week which are good conditions for Striper fishing and white water bluefishing.

Oct 17, 2012
Very good jig fishing to day for Blues. We caught some on the beach like yesterday but it died out around 10am and we moved off to the east a few miles found some excellent fishing on the anchor until it was time to come home.
I heard of a few Stripers being caught today. We will be back at it again tomorrow.

Oct 16, 2012
Capt Jim Elliott had the Golden Eagle out today and he reported that there was bird life and white water fishing on the beach. The Blues were the large size and there were some Stripers mixed in. He stayed late today in hopes of more bass coming up this afternoon but that didn't happen. All the fish today were caught on jigs and it was very good fishing.
Folks like I said yesterday the wind conditions for today were perfect for the bass and that is what happened. Tomorrow  we are suppose to have the same conditions so come down & join us for some early fall Striper & Bluefishing.

Oct 15, 2012
The fishing bounced back today in a big way. Although we had a 25k southerly  we were able to anchor and jig all the Big Blues you wanted. The fish ranged in size from 5 to 19lbs We had fish on from the time the anchor went in the water until it was time to go home.

Tomorrow & Wednesday we are suppose to get northwest & west winds which will be the perfect conditions to spend some time fishing for Stripers. Come down & join us.

Oct 14, 2012
Last night's fishing was good. The same can not be said for today, after 14 straight weeks of good to outstanding fishing the fish did not bite today. We had some fish but nowheres near enough. I don't if it was the new moon or the 25k southerly wind that had these fish messed up but they never turned on today. Everywhere we went we saw plenty of fish readings to no avail.
Tomorrow is another day and we will try again.

Oct 13, 2012
Bluefishing was good again today with more fish being caught on bait than jigs. Yesterday fishing was good but it was all jigs. The Blues are LARGE yesterday's pool winner was 19lbs and today's was 18lbs. We still have some Albies mixed in but it seems as the Stripers are arriving the Albies are begining to depart.

We will start our STRIPERTHON's on Friday, November 2, 2012 and we will have STRIPERTHON trips every Monday & Friday in November & December until the Striper season ends. STRIPERTHON's leave the dock at 6:00am in the morning and return around 3:00-3:30pm. The fare for STRIPERTHON'S is $60.00.

Oct 10, 2012
Sorry folks we had a little technical problem that deleted the past few days of fishing reports. So let me recap: the weather has kept us at the dock the past couple of days but it looks like it will be ok for the next several days so we can get back to fishing. Before we had the weather fishing was very good for big Blues & Albies being caught on jigs & bait with the jigs seeming to work better. I would expect that fishing will continue were it left off on Monday.

The water has cooled down a few more degrees and indications are that the Stripers are about to make an appearance. Stayed tuned because I think it will only be a few more days before we will catching them.
